Johnny Manziel: Swan Won't Return His Calls

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can anyone answer exactly what lead to Manziel becoming this superhero/villain type of guy? I don't remember any of this starting because he really wasn't on my radar.

Was this in high school? Mid-way through freshman season? During a bowl game?

When did this hype start and why did he vault ahead of all the other guys who are doing the exact same shit in the eyes of the media?

His whole "Johnny Football" started in 2012. That famous scooby doo picture was that halloween before he beat Alabama. Then he won the Heisman and that is when he started hanging with celebrities, going to basketball games courtside, locker rooms...Then he won in the Cottom Bowl (I forget who against) and it just all went downhill from there. Fame. Fortune. Fucktard.

I am sure someone might have more but that is all I got from when it started.

This was the first I had heard of his nickname... I'm hoping she becomes a RealBrownsFans.com member soon.

"He's been, at least [the Browns'] experience so far, has been that he has been a different guy when he has been here in Cleveland," said Holtzman. "When he has been here at mini-camp and OTAs (Organized Team Activities), he has been at the hotel. He has been at the facility. He says the only place he has gone is Chipotle. He has been focused. He has been quiet. He has been taking notes. He has talked about earning his place. He has been a different guy when he has been with the Browns."

According to Holtzman, this is exactly what Browns coach Mike Pettine has expected.

"Pettine has said this a number of times," said Holtzman. "Now that training camp has started they expect Manziel to be a different guy. He doesn't have the ability to go away for the weekend anymore. He's going to be here."

In some ways, maybe being drafted by Cleveland was a blessing in disguise for Manziel. While any city is going to have a nightlife, the temptations in Cleveland won't be the same as if Manziel was drafted by a team in cities such as New York or Miami and Manziel will at least have the best environment in which to take on the NFL.

Of course, dragging Cleveland under the bus yet again.

It's not dragging Cleveland under the bus to say the nightlife there is inferior to the nightlife in New York and Miami. Just sounds like the truth to me.

Yes, but does it really have to be said. Of course he is not going out and partying during Training Camp. Pointless to say.

I felt like it was just noting that there is less temptation in Cleveland than in a bigger, fancier market, which was relevant to the rest of the story which was about his partying or, rather, the lack of it recently.

Meh, just another hack job by a national reporter looking for a story. Nothing to see here. I clearly saw JFF post a picture of his iPad Mini with his playbook on it that he was dutifully studying from, just because we don't see him working out or studying or putting in work doesn't mean he isn't. JFF only puts his social life out there as often as possible, not his work life. He has his barriers, people.

Johnny is growing before our eyes.

Unfortunately not taller...

I don't think I will ever understand the hype about this guy. Why do people care so much about what this guy does? He hasn't done anything that would suggest he is a sure thing in the NFL. I still expect him to be a dud. I would love to be proven wrong, as an exciting young quarterback who actually gets results on our team would be very welcome, but I just don't see it happening.
