People cyrin about a ring at no cost already forget we probably would have 1 if he didnt quit in the celtic series thats stuff you cant just forget. Also i would hate the credit he would get by espn and everyone else kyrie and the front office will get zero credit zero, dont believe me look at the heat

Will anyone be sober enough to know who ESPN is giving the credit to if we win a championship?

I would like for him to come back but at the same time I won't be upset if he doesn't. Basically, it would be sweet if he did but if he doesn't, oh well.

After how much crap everyone talked when he left it is pure comedy the way most of you have done a complete 180 because 2014 is closer, especially Rainman, dude was about to cry screaming blood in that decision thread when Lebron left LOL

Don't remember, link? Plus not sure at this point whether I'd take his sorry ass back, and so what if I did? He is still a piece of garbage and always will be no matter what, in my eyes. Really don't care either way, but kind of leaning towards stay the fuck out.

Guys, have some fucking pride for our city and team please. For once. No to Lebron.

No. Its pure comedy that any Cleveland sports fan would NOT want the best player of the decade on our team again.

Everyone is tired of waiting for a Championship, lets take the best chance we have at it.

Yes, because instantly becoming a championship contender will only bring shame to our city.

For fucks sake...some of you are acting like LeBron is the antichrist. He made a bad PR move, not some unforgivable sin. I truly believe he didn't intend to piss everyone off, in fact I don't think he gave it a single thought until the backlash happened. Not accepting him back because you're still holding a grudge from three years ago is ridiculous.

If you think he quit in the Celtics series... then you have to think he quit in the Mavs series the very next year. Why would he quit in the Finals on a super team he formed?

A more logical explanation is that both the Celts and Mavs wanted to shut LeBron down. When they started to succeed, he wasnt mentally strong enough to overcome the slump.

Perhaps if that abortion of the Mavs series never existed, you could probably conclude he mailed it in. However, the very next year he struggled just the same. Don't forget, everyone assumed he quit because he never played that terribly in his pro career. Well the very next year he played that terribly... again. The second time was with his super buddies, and not a team of role playing schmucks he was trying to ditch for better pastures.

A healthy LeBron with a healthy Kyrie would guarantee at least one championship.

Do you think Kyrie would be the best teammate that LeBron has ever played with, if (hypothetically speaking, of course) he were to come back to Cleveland?

The Dallas Mavs shut him down in the Finals 2 years ago. The Celtics series in 2010 he quit. Our team served the Celtics their worst home loss in playoff history the game before. He already had 1 foot out the door by the time that series started. He was trying to prove a point of why he was about to leave. Basically he was saying "I can't do this by myself, if I have a bad game, this is the help you have given me." First he tried the infamous LeElbow, which no one bought for a second. After that failed, he just quit in the next series, while probably thinking about buying his plane tickets to South Beach.

The guy is an absolute asshole who only cares about himself and his image. He's a great player and if he wants to come back, god bless him. But as a fan I would rather leave the asshole in south beach and try to win a ship with Mr. Irving beating LBJ in a playoff series. I mean even if we don't win the whole thing, if we could bounce his ass out of the playoffs every year that would be an accomplishment in itself.

No lie. Some of you sound like ex-girlfriends. You were dumped and now "You don't want that man back in yo lif!" I'm sorry, but LeBron gave us 7 GREAT YEARS. He made ONE stupid decision. It's not like the man killed anyone. Without LeBron the Cavaliers would have been HORRIBLE. Now that there's a chance of him returning and making things right with us, your acting like a baby that learns what the word "NO!" means. Get over yourself. It's been years since he did this.

This is probably the best apology we will get out of him. Another apology would be returning. Don't burn your bridges. If he "quits" in another finals with the Cavaliers in the future, you all deserve it for your name calling and bashing. Lets stop acting like babies and act like fans who care for their teams best interest. Let him come back.

Edit: And even if he did "quit" like you say he did, why does it matter? Why couldn't the rest of the TEAM try to win the game and pick up his slack?

As a fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers, I would rather he plays any where but South Beach. We still own the Miami 2015 draft pick. It is in our best interest for LeBron to move on from the Heat, even if it is not to our own team. That end of the round pick could very well end up in the middle if that team were to lose Mr James for nothing. Particularly, if Wade continues to decline. Or, perhaps, Bosh decides to bail as well. People really need to realize this.

If LBJ comes back here, I imagine it would be with a "I'm very sorry how badly I handled that, you deserved better, and hopefully I can make it right now" speech.

People screw-up. If they admit it and try to make amends, then (assuming we're not talking murder/rape etc..), I think they generally should get the chance to make it right. What I wouldn't like is if he came back here without an acknowledgement, but I think that's unlikely.

That's a great point, but obviously I wasn't thinking about draft picks when I wrote that. My point is that I would rather win with Kyrie and whoever we build around him and knock LBJ and whatever team he plays for out of the playoffs, instead of trying to get him to come back. And that really isn't that far-fetched. Kyrie is a once in a decade point guard talent and he's only 20 years old. We have a bright future with or without LeElbow.

How did we forget about these facts? Lebron trashes our team and people, sticking it to the front office, and finally bolts in FA. Good riddance.

Let's win one without him. Just because a player is good at basketball does not mean it is foolish to not want him on our team. Did you create threads on BBSs in the 90s hoping Jordan would come to Cleveland after doing us dirty in the ECF?

There's no denying a team with Lebron James on it is a better team, but to hell with his on-court antics, off-court antics, his posse, his immaturity, to hell with the messiah notion people have of him. Cleveland doesn't need him now, and frankly I'd prefer it if he was in NY stiffing waitresses while Kyrie hoisted a finals MVP over his head. Bastard child.

He is not capable of making a real public apology. He is still a man-child, an emotional infant.

But yes I agree with you. It is possible for Lebron to make amends with the city and organization if he recognizes his transgressions. Don't hold your breath.
