#77, Duke Johnson, RB, Miami

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's weird to me you all are so opposed to this.

It's weird to me you are so for it.

Jeremy Hill, good RB. Dude saved my fantasy championship. But he's not available. (I don't know where this talk came from)

To your point of having a reliable, consistent RB. That's not what we are going for. We, the Browns, are going for a 2/3-headed monster like that big fucking dog from the Harry Potter series (please god I am sorry for using a Harry Potter reference on RBF). We do not need A reliable, consistent, RB. We need to give the ball to the hot hand, keep bringing in fresh legs, mix & match to keep the D guessing so we can open up holes for the wideouts and give Johnny some time to throw the ball.

Yes, Crow and West didn't put up Hill type numbers, but Hill also had multiple (I believe 5 when I looked) where he had at least 22 carries. West was a whiny bitch a few games. We moved to throwing the ball to try and catch back up. Mack going down hurt us like crazy. Now with him back, Erving added, WR "threats" added, I can see good things coming from both of them.

In the end, I am completely against bringing in a veteran RB.

While we are comparing Hill and Crowell as rookie RBs... it's also fair to note that Hill cost the Bengals a 2nd round pick. Crowell cost us nothing at all.

Also, Hill had the benefit of a better overall offense last year. Crowell and West were at a disadvantage with our mostly inept passing game.

I'm all for looking at available cheap FA help. Just don't know why RB would need to be looked at or addressed.

I just don't get the argument, I guess...

You want to bring in Moreno (or another Vet) to "prove they don't have it," yet have the opinion of, "until you prove it, you are what you are."

We've seen Moreno prove that he's got little left in the tank and he's not improving at this point in his career. Moreno is what he is, an unemployed veteran RB with health issues. He had one good year behind Peyton Manning.

I've said it here before.. Moreno (or any other vet) is a band-aid at this point. During the season, if a guy gets injured on a team, guys like Moreno and Pierre Thomas will be signed because they can assimilate back into an NFL gameplan/locker room without needing much time. We know their career trajectory is likely going nowhere other than down, so why waste the time and carries by bringing him to camp?

I like the fresh legs.

I think we should sign Reuben Droughns to compete with the rookies

And it would be stunning to me to see people opposed to this

Excited to see Poop Dick in action this year.

I don't think it's a terrible idea to bring in a veteran RB for training camp, but I am not sure that the veteran RB's will come for that purpose, to maybe make the squadron. Yes, squadron. "Hey the Browns just drafted their 3rd running back in 2 years, want to go try out and see if you can make the team?" It's just a tough sell, but I think conceptually we could do worse.

Whatever, can people post some damn articles on this monster DJ and how he is essentially a combination of Emmitt Smith and Paul Pierce? His PFF on road games within 5 minutes of halftime against bowl eligible competition? His number of cut blocks divided by sacks allowed subtracted from the number of screen passes he caught? Let's get hyped on this GAME BREAKER who will FLASH all over YOU BITCHES.

At first, I thought this was just a dynamite drop-in, then I connected his name to Poop Dick and laughed out loud.

On a side-note, a friend of mine has somehow got the nickname Poop Dick. Or, just Poop for short. :chuckle:

You just somehowed over the most important part.

It's not that interesting, actually... It was like 5 years ago. He said it mid-convo when nobody was expecting it. First time it had been used in reference to buttsecks and it had everyone rolling. Now, he's Poop Dick.

I'm requesting a ban for you due to how outrageously disappointing this story was.

Prove it! :chuckle:

If it's any consolation, the first time I'd ever witnessed a poop-dick causing event, I had just finished getting a blowie from the chick who provided the feces.

Watching the dude run upstairs into the bathroom is unforgettable. Especially after dumpster diving and kissing that chick knowing what had just happened with me. It was the first and last time I used, "when it doubt, whip it out."
