Sack up guys, its pathetic to not believe in this team and even worry about getting sweeped. We might be coming in as underdogs, but we've got a real chance here to win it all. The Cavaliers have the best player in the world and even with the injury woes we've still got a very good core group of guys who are physical and play with a lot of heart and grit.

And I will say this, I can't wait to see that doubt start to creep in on the GSW player's faces. The growing realization that maybe they won't be winning this year after all. That maybe they are just another in a long list of LeBron playoff victims, lured into a false sense of security by the constant fellating from the media and never having to taste real adversity until the very end. It would be sweet justice and the perfect cherry on top of a long awaited Cavaliers championship. I sure do hope it happens.
Nice post

And for those who said Curry is not at the same level as Durant or LBJ, I beg to differ. He is 64% true shooting percentage shooter. So yes he scores less and rebounds less. But man, he is efficient!

Just stop curry and klay, I don't care how.
either its putting shump on curry and telling him to stick to curry like glue and matching minutes or putting lebron on klay, whatever it takes....
if green, bugot, barnes are gonna beat us so be it....

but no way curry should be allowed to hit 5-8 threes on us like he is doing to the rockets vs terry and Prigioni, I really hope it wont be Irving on curry that would be plain suicide.

Shump and Lebron are great quick defenders with length, curry so far has been guarded by small scrubs this playoffs, time to teach him what real defense is

GS has absolutely no one to guard LeBron, and would get slaughtered on the boards. I think Houston is worse matchup, personally.

Klay Thompson?

Andre Igoudala?

Draymond Green?

Harrison Barnes?

Golden State has great perimeter defenders...not too sure how you come to the conclusion that they have no one to guard LeBron.

I think both arguments have merit. Golden State has a number of players who seem like they should be able to guard LBJ (especially in tandem), but historically LBJ tends to own all of them. We'll (hopefully) see how true that is in the finals.

You know what funny we will be the underdogs, fans are already proclaiming the warriors are going to torch us even the media feels the same, but what they dont know is in order to gs to beat they will need someone else besides curry to step up. The cavs have shown we can win agaisnt all odds but have the warriors??....Im not saying we will beat the warriors easily but is a higher possibility, we have lebron fuking james and a great team with the best fan base.

I really wish I could sip some of the Kool-Aid a few of you are gulping down in here. I just don't see it. This cavs team deserves all the praise in the world for sacking up when injuries hit and not letting it be an excuse. They have played terrific. Win or lose, this season has been a resounding success in my opinion. You put a healthy Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving out there against GS this year, and I like our chances. But right now...

I just don't see it. GS is light years ahead of the competition we've faced so far. They're completely healthy. They have been ripping apart every team from the West they have come across (only 2 losses the entire post season). Amazing home court advantage. There are two beacons of hope I can see for the Cavs though: Lebron James, and our defense (what kind of bizarro world am I living in now where this Cavs team's defense is what could win us a title?). We've been dominant on the defensive side of the ball so far. It's not surprising actually, when you think about it. We lost our 2 most valuable offensive players, who both happen to be sub-par defenders. We've replaced them with TT and Delly, both plus defenders. Our starting line up right now of Delly-Shump-Bron-TT-Moz is actually a really formidable defensive unit. It is going to be really tough to keep Steph and Klay from catching fire, but if we can take them out of their comfort zone, then maybe we could hope for some of their role players to lay eggs. (They haven't so far, so we are going to need some luck).

Luckily, we do have a pretty versatile line up right now. We should be able to match up with GS's small ball line up pretty well. Lebron is going to need to have the series of his life, our role players are gonna have to play nearly flawless defense (while also hitting their shots), and we need to hope that GS's secondary players don't step up to the plate. The odds are certainly against us...but never say never.

Harrison Barnes is laughable. Lebron would own him in the post so cross him off. Green might have to guard him which Lebron is quicker then so he will work at the three point arc and blow by him for a easy bucket or a dime once the defense collapse. AI would be their best bet, but Lebron would post him up too. Tiring AI out on the defensive end will shut down his offensive game.

This will come down to defense.

Cavs are playing amazing defense right now.

The only team who played a lick of defense against Golden State was Memphis and when Tony Allen was healthy Golden State struggled.

Houston plays zero defense.

It all comes down to Kyrie. If he can't move, we have no chance. He's going to have to guard Steph if he plays, no way around it, and if he's not healthy, Curry will average 40 points against us.

We can't win without Kyrie. Although our defense is better without him, we don't have enough offensive firepower. We're not holding GS to 80 points like we have with the horrible Hawks offense.

Why would we ever have even. Healthy Kyrie guard steph?

Huh? You mean Kyrie guarding Steph?

There's no where else to put him. Who else can he guard? You can't put him on Klay. He's bigger than Kyrie, and he'd have to chase him around the perimeter. Not his thing.

You can't put him on Barnes. If he plays, he's going to have to guard Steph, there's no way around it. That's why he needs to be healthy.

Otherwise we are going to get killed by the Warriors.

You don't necessarily put your best defensive player on the best scorer of the opposite team. For instance you wouldn't want to waste an excellent defender on JR Smith, since he will shoot contested shots almost as well as he shoots open shots. I think the same goes for Curry on account of his quick release.

Just for the record, I don't think GS's path to the finals has been harder than ours.

Especially with the injuries we've dealt with, we've been more impressive than them. Yeah, I know, I know, the West is better than the East. But they got lucky and dodged all their competition in the West.

We had go through all of ours. Defeat the Bulls, go up against a team that won 60 games.

Let's be honest, the Rockets aren't any better than Atlanta. Both these teams are pretty flawed.

Memphis was the biggest mismatch you could have found for GS. Personally, I thought GS should have swept them, but they didn't. Memphis is a good team, but suffer from similar problems like Atlanta. They don't really have a go-to-scorer, that can carry them. They struggle to score a lot of points, a team like that isn't beating GS. But they made them sweat a little.

They are a good team, but they got lucky. Sometimes you need luck to win it all.

With us it comes down to match ups. They do cause us some problems with match ups. If Kyrie can bounce back, I like our chances. He's not going to stop Steph, no one can. But he can go toe-to-toe against him in the scoring column, and that's considered a win against Steph.

If Kyrie is himself again, I think we can beat this team. But it all depends on him being Kyrie Irving again.

OP said "GS has no one to guard LeBron"...I named 4 Golden State players who match up well (Physically) with LeBron & could guard him given the task. Never said they'd shut LeBron down, just said that they're able to match up with him.

I'm not really sure the point of your post..
