A Closer Look at Anthony ^--^ Davis

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: The Anthony ^--^ Davis Thread

The prize of the draft. The drop-off after him is absolutely huge.
Which is strange cause all we've heard and read for the last year and a half is how loaded that 2012 draft will be.....

It is pretty loaded with All-Star caliber talent. Davis is just the only one who most people can confidently say will be a superstar.

Re: The Anthony ^--^ Davis Thread

Why does everyone always have to put a damper on things? This was a thread started to discuss Anthony Davis. Not just spout off how we don't have a chance to get him (which is incorrect). We have a very very realistic chance of being in the third slot once the season is done. Last time I checked, the NBA draft order was chosen by a lottery. Pretty sure as long as that's the case, we have a pretty good shot at him.

Re: The Anthony ^--^ Davis Thread

The entire 2012 draft class outside of Davis, MKG, and Thomas Robinson was really underwhelming IMO...

Barnes shit the bed in the tourny, Perry Jones might miss games due to disinterest, Austin Rivers is an undersized ball hogging SG, Sullinger regressed as a Soph.

Just not really anything to write home about, and shouldn't be talked about with the 2003 draft.

Re: The Anthony ^--^ Davis Thread

Based on those videos looks like a stretch 4, don't want him. Hahah j/k.

And to be honest, I wouldn't care if we drafted him and put him at the PF, or the Center position.

Atleast we have a chance to get him.

Re: The Anthony ^--^ Davis Thread

I am going to laugh/cry when Sacramento ends up with the top pick, yet still fails to make the Playoffs with all of their young talent.

Re: The Anthony ^--^ Davis Thread

Back OT here is a video of his hs senior season. At UK he narrowed his game for the good of the team, i think long term offensively he will have the jumper to go to and be able to attack with the dribble againt other 4/5s in the league

That HS video is phenomenal. I would compare him to a mix of Steve Nash and Wilt Chamberlain.

Compared to last season, its defintiely deep. But after Davis, everyone else is a #3 option at best. Not that thats a bad thing. But this draft doesn't really deserve the hype it gets at times.

EVERYONE else is a #3 option AT BEST? That would make this one of the weakest drafts ever.

This draft may be a little over hyped particularly bc of a very weak one last year, but to say guys like Beal, Drummond, Lamb, Barnes, MKG, PJ3, Robinson, and even guys like Terrence Jones/Ross are no better than number 3 option talents is a bit pessimistic.

Beal, Barnes, Lamb, Robinson could easily be better than #3 options. I would be very surprised if none of those guys turns out better than a #3 option.

Barnes and Beal have shots of being #2s imo. Lamb could be a #2 on a really bad team. Hard to say with T-Rob. I like him in the Horace Grant role. Maybe not the same defender, but a #3 on a playoff team.

Btw, I never said my opinion was gospel. But I think some people are setting themselves up for disappointment. A hustle player SF is projected to go #2.
