A closer look at Bradley Beal

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So you're betting on a 2% lottery chance hitting two years in a row?

Not happening.

I bet you think scratch off tickets are your retirement plan too.

I'm not saying we will, I'm just saying that last year proved that it's a possibility. But sorry, me and the rest of the posters on RCF will be sure to ignore all of the draft prospects that may be a little of the Cavs reach.

but... :fu:

Def a tweener. Pretty good comparison though, like you said, not a bad thing - just more or less late teens not lottery

Terrence Jones has 5 more games to convert me into a believer. Against WKU he looked awesome. Problem was it was against WKU.
Every time I've seen him play (and by every, I mean 15-20 games), he pouts, whines, and gets lost in the clouds. To put it more mildly, he's as emotional stable as a 12 year old girl getting her period for the first time.

He has skills, no doubt about it. I just don't see it mentally. And if he cannot handle it in college, wait to Byron Scott gets a hold of him.

I think Brad Beal is a similar case to Irving at the SG spot: very solid all-around game, mature & calm demeanor, talented and extremely polished at a young age... Beal is an extremely talented player but it's not common for someone to posses the talent combined with the polish that he has in his game... Kinda with what we saw with Kyrie coming in... Neither are extremely athletic (tho very good athletes) but rather get by their all-around polish and talent... With that said, I'm not sure if Beal has star potential but I think he is an extremely good prospect... I wouldn't complain getting him at all... Going into this before they played any games, Beal was one of my favorite players I watched in HS...

Right now, where we're picking, I have Lamb (Jeremy) ahead of Beal, but not by much. I like Lambs size and the fact he is a combo guard. Beal is gritty, rebounds well for a 6'3 SG, can shoot, and excels in transition offense. Take a gander at Eric Gordon's (Beals best comp) freshman year. Eerily similar to Beal (%'s)

A guy that has dropped from my top 10 is Drummond. Sorry Dre, you disappeared this year more than my DNDN stock. 2 points against Iowa was the icing on the cock.

I've heard rumors that MKG and Drummond were both returning to school. Has there been any word if Beal / Lamb plan to come out?

Starting to worry some of these guys will stay in school and by the time we pick it'll be scraps.

We'll see. Once MKG realizes that he's a top 3 pick (same with Drummond), they'll declare. Although I said the same shit about Sully.

EDIT: And if those 2 do go back?

Davis
Barnes
Robinson
Perry Jones
Sullinger
Beal
Lamb
Henson
Rivers
Lillard

If Rivers is a consolation prize, so be it.

I'm not saying we ignore them, but we should certainly spend more time looking at people we have a HIGH likelihood of drafting. That's all I'm saying.

Side Note: Patric Young is lookin diesel. Similar body type to Brandon Bass.

Is he a 4 or a 5? He's listed as a 5 but he's only about TT's size, though he looks strong.

He was playing the 5. I wouldn't want him to play the 5 for me, but thats what I remember him being listed as. I'm a sucker for a Bynum style 5. Tall and Big Body. This statement has been beat to death in posts, but it's so true, you can't teach size.

I think he'll play the 4 in the NBA. UF just really doesn't have much size at all so he has to be the 5. Last year when they had Maclin and Tyus, Young's minutes were mostly at PF

Beal is at least 6'4.5" in shoes, and that was measured about a year ago.

Offensive rebound on a missed FT over 2 players, then his 3rd putback on an offensive rebound this game. Put him in the Wine&Gold already
