A Look Inside the Dysfunction of the Cleveland Browns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Whats really crazy is I have a calmness for the first time about a Browns offseason since the return. Sure I am excited and spend way to much time reading about the draft, but this is not a make or break offseason like the past.

I feel bizarrely anxious at times. Like i want the Browns to do everything in their power to ensure Mayfield continues to grow, remain healthy and we see more of him.

Remember those years where a coach would draft offensive and defensive line players while ignoring skill positions? Feels like that's the route to go in the short term sans going after a tall pass catching receiver to go after potential mismatches in the end zone.

We have a QB, he have studs on defense, we have a few studs on offense besides the QB. And guess what, they are all really fucking young. Reminds me allot of the early 90's Cowboys. After they got the Aikmen, Irving, Smith, Newton, etc core they made mistakes, all teams do, even the Patriots miss on draft picks or trade for drug addicts that relapse. But while the Cowboys made mistakes after the built the core they won 3 Super Bowls along the way.

Say want you guys want, but this is not make or break anymore. 2 good drafts in a row, a GM that knows what he is doing, and I am calm. The Browns will make mistakes, but we will be winning Super Bowls in the 2020's while we do it.

Guys the journey has just begun, but hopefully we don't go to a Super Bowl in SF, because apparently I want to visit a better city, because now I know that town has lost its soul.

Anyone want to stay at my place when the Browns are in the Super Bowl in 2023? Because I will be watching our Browns win their 2nd Super Bowl and I have 2 extra bedrooms and a couch.

I just returned from Hollywood, Florida, and secured a room in a buddy's house for his birthday next year. Its on February 3rd, super bowl sunday, maybe 15 minutes from the big game in Miami. I'm hoping for the Browns to bump up the pace and superachieve next year, soley for my convenience.

I’m usually not one to gravedig, but it’s pretty crazy to think this wasn’t even a full year ago :chuckle:

Best OBR comment about the one constant at the top:

Despite his business legal issues that he managed to evade, the big difference with Haslam compared to Kraft, that would keep Wickersham from going even further toward that goal as northcoastoracle noted, is that as far as we know Haslam isn't, um, "compromised" the same way Kraft is.

Damn Snyder. Clever.
