A Potential Cavs vs. Bucks Series?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kidd is outcoaching Thibs right now. Thibs looks confused in his rotations. He's also running Butler, Rose, and Noah into the ground. This series wont be a cakewalk for the Bulls. I could easily see it going 7 games.

Really going out on a limb there..:chuckle:

I think there is a chance, although small, the Bulls get bounced. The bucks are rolling and their length really affects the Bulls, especially their front line. No one ever prays for injuries, but if one of Noah, butler, or rose gets hurt, they are in really deep trouble.

I also agree Thibs is getting out coached very plainly. It also is the 2nd year in a row he is getting outcoached by the "inferior" coach(wittmann last year). If I were the cavs, I would be resting LBJ and KI and getting the bench in shooting drills and practicing schemes(KI and LBJ included in the latter). Our bench needs to be ready to shoot and our schemes against the Bulls need to be really really tight to get by them. If the bucks win, then great and start game planning for that, but as of now I'm planning for the Bulls.

Call me crazy, but us minus Love and Smith, I think we'd have a worse matchup against the Bucks. Their length scares me, especially if we're gonna be forced to play small with Lebron at 4. Not saying we wouldn't beat the Bucks, but i like our matchups with the Bulls better.... plus they've been playing like hot garbage

I like your confidence, Rob. As sick as it may be, seeing the Bulls get knocked out might help me get over Mr. Love's injury.

I really think they'll force a Game 7. Bucks have momentum and are going home to play the Bulls for Game 6. Plus the Bulls have looked terrible lately, especially Rose.

Now will they be able to win Game 7 (which will be at the UC) and the series? Who knows, but I really hope so.

Honestly, if I were a superstitious man, I would blame all these fucking potential matchup threads cluttering the main board for our current predicament.

Bucks have a lot of perimeter length but not much shooting. Key to playing them is to control the pace and limit turnovers. Giannis would give Lebron a lot of trouble but no one on their team can guard kyrie. They are a good match up for us in general even delly can come in and bully MCW

Next year with jabari they will have a bit more offensive punch and should be able to make the transition to a top tier eastern team.

If Giannis takes a step forward offensively and MCW becomes a slightly better shooter, this will eventually be a very difficult team to deal with. Middleton played poorly overall on the offensive in the first three games and finally came alive in the last one. He and the rest of the Bucks have missed so many layups after getting steals that it's ridiculous.

One little interesting note about Jabari: he's a horrid defender who doesn't fit in with the rest of the starters. I'm sure the others can hide him, but he sticks out like a sore thumb on defense. I know he's just a rookie who only played 25 games, but his defense was terrible at Duke and people had concerns about him as a two way player because of his defense. He's really going to have to step it up on that end as he's not just a little bad, but terrible right now.

Players he guarded were shooting 51.6% against him compared to 44.6% against everyone else. From less than 10 feet, players he guarded were shooting 68.2%!! and 53.9% against everyone else. Parker's RPM was -2.70, 436th out of 474 players. His defensive RPM was -2.64, 440th out of 474 players.

Bucks ORtg with Jabari on court: 101.2
Bucks ORtg with Jabari off court: 103.3 (Bucks 2.1 points per 100 possessions better with Jabari off court)

Bucks DRtg with Jabari on court: 107.8
Bucks DRtg with Jabari off court: 100.9 (Bucks 6.9 points per 100 possessions better with Jabari of court)

In total, the Bucks are 9 points per 100 possessions BETTER with Jabari off court. Now, I'm going to assume he gets better defensively and continues to improve offensively, but it will be interesting to see how he fits in with the defensive-minded other starters.

Well, they've led in the fourth quarter in 4 of the five games played. They've been the better team the last three games played and game 6 is in Milwaukee. There is a decent, not great, but decent chance they can pull this off.

I am not even going to start entertaining this prospect until the Bucks force a game 7.

The Bulls have not decisively shown to be the superior team yet. I know it's a big mountain to climb, but I honestly expect it to go 7, and not counting the Bucks out from actually doing it, and winning this series.

They should have won game 3, even at times when Butler and Rose have looked so good, it's been a real struggle for the Bulls to beat this team.

The Bucks are making this a legit question, but I still expect the Bulls to probably pull it out.

Bulls will close it out tomorrow. Bucks screwed themselves over by choking away game 3. If they win that game, I would say they close out the series themselves tomorrow.

Hate to say it, but I think the Bucks get crushed tonight. Game 5 was a wake-up call for the Bulls.
