The Cavs vs Bulls Series

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Current Rose isn't even better than Waiters let alone Kyrie

-Who on the Bulls can lock down LeBron? Snell? Butler?

Butler has done a damn good job on Lebron in the past, but I think a big part of that was Noah and Gibson clogging the paint. If you watch the recent Bulls-Heat matchups, you can see everytime Lebron is in the paint, Butler + at least one of Noah/Gibson is there to contest leaving Bosh or Haslem open. Insert Love in the lineup and I don't think we see that kind of clogging defense in the paint (as much)

Think you can go ahead and put Kyrie over Rose for the time being as well.

But then again I've never feared the Bulls because of their elite players (Rose and Noah). I'm wary of them because of their immense depth. Legitimately two deep at every position...they'll be a tough out.

Very few ball handlers/playmakers though. Rose and Hinrich....and Butler, I guess? Their big man rotation will be a problem though

I'm more scared of the Wizards and Heat.

Both of those teams could take us a legitimate six games (the Heat only if Wade is at least 90%).

Can't believe we have a Cavs vs Bulls series thread in Cavs Talk, and our offseason isn't even over yet. We need to start playing the games before we worry about this; we don't know what our team dynamics or chemistry is like yet.
I agree with this statement wholeheartedly. I'm excited, but peple are getting way ahead of themselves.

What i hope for is a competitive East, even if the Cavs don't finish with the top seed I'll be happy. Then let's build off that.

I'm going to say it again, we, and they as well, haven't even played a pre-season game let alone a regular season game. We will need to see how these teams look in the regular season, rotations, strengths, weaknesses, before we can say anything.

I have an idea of what this team will look like, but it's all speculation in my head based on the way I think they should play.

I'm not worried about Rose. Noah, and Pau present a bigger threat to me. I'm still not going to discount Miami at the moment either.

Still want to see how these teams look in the regular season before I can say how they'll matchup in the playoffs.

That's not very nice Jigo. Not the kind of thing a good father would wish on another.

I will now pray that your child is born with working genetalia as a sign of good faith.

I think the Bulls will be our biggest competition in the East. People trying to prop the Wizards, Heat, or any other EC team as being a bigger adversary than the Bulls are fooling themselves.

Because you want him to piss on my face.

Dick.

It's going to happen. My daughter rolled over and farted on me today.

Having a boy, you will have the accidental piss shot while changing his diaper. Just remember to peel back the foreskin and wipe his dick clean when it's covered in green shit from his diaper. It happens. Welcome to the club. Desitin will be your best friend.

You get rid of the foreskin. That's disgusting. Don't make your child live like that.

Yeah, but that shit gets everywhere, even without foreskin, you still have the loose skin to be ready to grow. Their balls are covered in shit. It's can be pretty bad if they have a blowout.

Now that we can stop talking about changing diapers, Chicago will get wiped off the court like the slimy green poop on jigo's kids potatoes. Lebron neutralizes Rose, I mean makes him a complete non-factor. This was preinjury Rose when Lebron was still with the Cavs. I want someone to pull the totals from that series just to show how bad it was.

Noah and Pau scare me more. I still think throwing the trio of Andy and TT at one of them to frustrate them and make them work, and then the other gets put on an island with Love to eat them up.

I still don't see how anyone can stop a team built like the cavs if they're coached right.

Great passers for their position Lebron, Love, Dion, Andy, and Kyrie isn't bad even though he's not a great passer on the like of point guards. Lebron really is the defacto point guard anyway.

Great shooters Kyrie, Love, Dion, Lebron to a certain extent. Add in Miller

Guys that can get to the hoop at will in Lebron, Dion, and Kyrie

Great rebounders in Love, Andy, TT, Lebron

Defenders Andy, Lebron, the Matrix, I feel like you can throw in Dion, and will be able to count on Love and Kyrie more than people think.

There is nothing missing from this team. I feel like we can protect the rim with what we've got.

I don't see Chicago being a contender.

Really though, we could also suck, so who knows until a few games are played.

"Please stop with this stuff."

This after a single post implying that a team with three guys who are among the best players in the NBA at their respective positions shouldn't be completely written off as a team that might be able to compete with the Cavs if their top player is healthy.

For starters, they are not among the best at their respective positions any longer. I am not sure how any players you could locate who are better than Wade and Deng at their respective positions, but both players are being leapfrogged by younger players around the league and Bosh's decline has been several years in progress. Wade, with the greatest player of our generation playing by his side, attempted a career-low in field goals per game this past season, yet drilled them at a high rate. Even though he was rested and shooting at a high percentage, he wasn't shooting much, despite having the space to create often. Without LeBron, those shot attempts go up, and that shooting percentage takes a dip.

We all saw Deng last season. He looked like a guy who was beat up from injuries and excessive minutes under Thibs. Bosh could have somewhat of a bounce-back season, but what Bosh are we going to see? Do we expect to see Bosh back on the block more often? I just don't see it.

We are talking about a team that -- come playoff time -- will have six key players (Wade, Bosh, Deng, Granger, Birdman and Haslem) 30 years old or older. That's six rotational players who are past their prime and / or giant injury risks. The sub-30 roster consists of a few okay players and a collection of stiffs (Brown, Chalmers, Cole, Ennis, McRoberts, Justin Hamilton, Shabazz, Tyler Johnson, Reggie and Shawne Williams). The team's best players are rapidly aging and past their prime. The young players are either not talented enough or experienced enough.

I get that you included the caveat of Wade being healthy, but even if Wade still gets as healthy as he can possibly get, he's not even remotely close to the same player he once was. The last time he looked even remotely close to the old Wade was during the 2011-12 campaign. Unless he's suddenly expanded his jump shot, he's not going to be that great this year.

I know you made one single post, so perhaps I am taking my frustration on this subject out on you but you aren't the only person on here who has stated that the Cavs need to look out for Miami. My response is that they don't need to worry about the Heat any more than they need to worry about the Hornets or the Wizards or the Raptors. We all saw the Heat jump on LeBron's back in the playoffs over the last two years and the only thing I could think of while watching was, "Wow this is reminiscent of the 2009 and 2010 Cavs playoff teams". Now, without him, the Heat will finish somewhere between 6 and 9 in the East. I can't see Miami finishing ahead of Cleveland, Chicago, Washington, Toronto or Charlotte. Not with the top-to-bottom rosters these teams have compiled.

I disagree for a couple of reasons.

Number one, Bosh will be much more of a factor offensively now with LeBron gone. Spoelstra isn't going to make Wade carry the load on offense, if anything it may run through Bosh now since he's younger than Wade and still in his prime. Spoelstra relegated Bosh to the perimeter because the team relied on spacing the floor to give LeBron and Wade room to maneuver. I think it's realistic for Wade to play 60-70 games this year. Deng is still a great defender and can bother LeBron like he did in Chicago. Granger and McRoberts are more goons than effective bench players, but I have no idea how Spoelstra will use them rotation-wise.

I foresee the Heat getting the 4 seed in the East, which to me is a scary team to face in the semifinals. Remember, their core just finished four straigth Finals runs together. I don't think they will let go of the mountaintop so easily, unless Wade is just completely finished. That's just me though.
