The Cavs vs Bulls Series

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Oh absolutely they could make the playoffs, and they likely will, to get swept in the first round. I'm just saying that they have to have a lot go right for them in order to do so. Wade has to be able to play at a high level for more games than he did last year, Bosh has to return to old form (or rather young form), and Loul has to be healthy, just for them to make the playoffs.

Neither of those three guys are singularly able to lead a team to the playoffs, if one of them gets hurt for a significant amount of time they won't make the playoffs, and Minni will he getting a top 14 pick.

Bosh's decline was much, much more about him being the third wheel with LeBron in town. Now, he is going to be the first option, and I fully expect him to put up his best numbers since he joined the Heat.

Couldn't you say that any team has to stay healthy just to advance to the playoffs? I figured that went without saying.

Heat get stomped by us TOR, CHI, and maybe BRK in my opinion. They are done. I think the world is going to be really surprised at how many holes Lebron masked

Chicago still lacks a secondary creator behind Rose. Lock down Rose with James, Waiters, and/or Dellavedova, and make the rest of their team beat you. Noah is not a post scorer, Gibson is not much of a post scorer, so put Varejao or Thompson on Gasol, and I see Chicago struggling on the offensive end.

no, you cant do that. you cant just go individually grading a team by players face value.. you have to look how the team actually performs. if it were that easy, on paper the heat would have murdered the mavericks in the 2011 finals. just look at how good the bulls looked last year, now add derrick rose, pau gasol, nikola mirotic, doug mcdermott, aaron brooks, and cameron bairstow to the equation. i wont be surprised at all if the bulls take the 1 seed and take us down this year.

I honestly don't think we will see the Bulls in the ECF. After watching Rose play on team USA I don't think he is healthy enough to catapult them through the East. The conference is much better than a lot of people are giving it credit for. Washington and Charlotte could both reach the ECF. Toronto could also be a threat if they continue to improve. I don't think any of these teams could beat the Cavs but I also don't believe a Chicago or Miami matchup in the ECF is guaranteed.

I do not think you understood my comment. This has been a problem in Chicago for years, and can be scene with other teams historically. We had the same issue when James was here the first time around, Indiana currently has that issue, and Miami will also see it with Wade as their lone creator off the dribble.

By this logic of taking the team by the sum of its parts I don't really know how you could come to that conclusion. Our team is deeper and has more talent. The only saving grace I think everyone falls back on is that the Bulls immense team chemistry will ride them to the one seed. IMO if you can use that argument for them why not for the Cavs? Half our players have actually played with each other at some point in time. The ties are amazing. Individually we murder Chicago IMO. Love is better than Gasol, Noah and Andy cancel out, Waiters and Butler cancel out IMO but Kyrie better then Rose. Lebron obvious. Then our bench is flat out better than Chicagos. I mean they bring up McDermott and brooks like brooks is a monster. From what I remember he can't stay on the same team for his life.

Then for some reason people refuse to acknowledge what Rose we are seeing in the FIBA play. That's not 100% Rose. And it's really probable that he'll never get back to 100%. I just see no reason why bulls can beat us in a 7 gamer. Honestly I need convincing they are better than the heat

well your "point" is kind of ignorant.. the bulls have a great syystem and a pretty loaded roster. they will probably have the best defense in the league, and the added some shooters and scorers. the have plenty of guys more than capable of putting the ball in the basket and a good rate. its just stupid to say a team NEEDS multiple elite players that can create off the bounce. who'd the lakers have in 2010? who'd the mavericks have in 2011? who'd the heat have in 2006? who'd the rockets have in 95? just a dumb statement in my opinion. derrick rose is probably the best point guard in the league if he's healthy too..

and you completely missed my point. you cant just compare teams by comparing individual players by face value. its just a flat out STUPID thing to go by. the bulls will probably be the best team in the east this year.. atleast until the cavs get clicking

I think the Bulls will get out to a faster start, but if Blatt is who they say he is, it won't last long. This new team has every reason to work together and winning is going to change these young guy's perspective.

The Bulls have faced real adversity before and the young dudes haven't. If they start to think they are awesome and unstoppable slacking off, that is the only way I see the Bulls winning in the playoffs. Similar to doubt creeping in like it did against Orlando in 2009. I still believe the Cavs were hit in the mouth and shocked Orlando put up such a fight after they swept 2 series.

the bulls 3 best players have either a history of injuries or are aging and their coach, while being a great defensive mind, is notorious for riding his stars. I just don't see them as a viable threat to us in the long run.

Based off what? Adding a PF who isn't better than the PF we added? And also by adding a PG who at least right now is not better than our PG. I just think this media drive Bulls hype train is unmerited.

It's just my opinion but I need better arguments saying that the bulls can even beat the heat right now rather than them beating us

Maybe the Bulls have added those guys this offseason, but it has absolutely been their problem the past few years. You don't need multiple elite star creators, but you need creators. The bulls had a lot of finishers including Noah and Boozer.

You need to break down teh D and finish or make the play.

Hakeem and Shaq did that by drawing doubles in the post. Clyde and Wade acted as their counterpart on the wing. Dirk does the same thing in the high post, and his counterpart was the whole team. Kidd and Barerra did a lot of the heavy lifting, but the Mavs just used the pass to break the Miami defense. The Spurs employed the same tactic to even greater success last year. Pau and Bynum did it with Kobe in 2010. The bulls are approaching that but Pau is older and Noah while a great passer is not that kind of threat in the post.

Derrick Rose is a great player, but he is not the kind of pure point that you would want on that Bulls team who have trouble creating their own shot. He is more of a drive and kick guy. He doesn't have super vision or anything.

this just kind of proved my point... thanks.. you don't need multiple players that are stars and creating off the dribble to win.
