The Cavs vs Bulls Series

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Let's just say this, if the Bulls manage anything against the Cavs in the post-season, even losing in 7, maybe 6, they will have proven that the regular season no longer holds any value.

If the Bulls play the Wizards round 1 they will lose.

I would love Noah on the Cavs. Remember the Lebron/Noah PnRs during the All-Star game last year? It was nearly unstoppable. Also, Noah has better passing and vision than Kyrie, you would have the greatest offense in history when Noah is on the perimeter and basically no one under the basket. The permutations of plays that can be run is exhausting. Also, Noah is 2 years removed from DPoY, he would go back to that form when he's not being dragged down by useless regular season minutes and AV or TT spelling him. It would be a dynasty in Cleveland for sure.

This is the worst analysis of Noah's talent i've ever read.

Noah's career TOV% is 16.7%. Kyrie's is 13.1%.

Noah's career AST% is 15.8%. Kyrie's is 30.6%.

You guys think the Bucks were "encouraged" after playing us close without their best player ?

Brb, writing an article on it.

:chuckle:

I don't want to sound like a D-Rose hater, but is there any bar too low for him at this point? It's like analysts are obligated to say something positive about him regardless of his performance. He was 3-9 for 9 points and had 4 TOs. He was bad, he hurt his team tonight, it's okay. He has not been having a good season; the injuries have really damaged his game. Does nobody see this?

Not to mention he really didn't drive to the basket. Lots of jump shots:

One is a PG who has the ball in his hands most of the time and who's job is to pass to other players. The other is a defensive center who is passing just because he's elite at it. When you are making a comparison based on raw stats you've already lost.

Also, Noah only has recently come to his own with regards to passing. If you just look at this season, their assist numbers are comparable, except Kyrie gets the ball way more.

For some bizarre reason, the Chicago fanbase and media have a tendency to overrate Chicago players.

I mean Christ, Ben Gordon's nickname among Chicago fans during his stint with Chicago was Ben Jordan.

So Mr. better-court-vision has a higher turnover percentage while handling the ball much less. That doesn't help your case, it makes the comparison more ridiculous.

Not even a tiny bit afraid of Rose. I hope he plays 48 minutes a game if we play them, because Brooks can actually beat people off the dribble and I'd like to avoid the threat of that so I really want to see Rose on the court as much as possible. It's a shame that's the new truth about a former MVP/super explosive monster guard...but he's just not scary anymore.

From Grantland today --

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Chicago Bulls

Andrew Sharp: Michael Jordan owned the Knicks. From 1989 to 1996, he was the Grim Reaper. He was the destroyer of dreams. How many Finals would Pat Riley and Patrick Ewing have made if not for Jordan? Knicks seasons were fun, and then they usually ended with Madison Square Garden fans cursing their nemesis one more time.

That’s LeBron and the Bulls now. Except it’s bigger than basketball. There’s real antipathy here. Remember when Derrick Rose refused to recruit LeBron in 2010? Bulls fans loved him for it. The players, the fans, probably even Thibs — everyone feels the same way. No matter how many titles he wins, LeBron will always be considered Hollywood as hell in Chicago. Then LeBron wins in May, and the knife gets twisted a little deeper. It’s a better rivalry than anything else in the NBA. Even you, Clippers-Warriors.

That’s the series I want to see. That’s the series we all need.

Also, the Bulls are flying under the radar right now. Last night’s loss aside, they’ve looked better with Jimmy Butler back, and they’re getting healthy at the perfect time. There are pieces here that will matter in a playoff series. Nikola Mirotic is awesome. Joakim Noah has had a rough year, but Pau Gasol helps them in ways Noah never has. Rose played last night, and he had his moments. I don’t know whether any of them can beat LeBron, but I’m so ready to watch them try.

“It would be great to play them in the playoffs,” Noah said of the Cavs this weekend. “It would be very, very exciting, something that I really hope happens.”

“You think Cleveland’s cool?” he said in 2010. “I never heard anybody say, ‘I’m going to Cleveland on vacation.’”

Can we start this tonight?

Maybe 6 year old kids said that on their posters at the games, but I can assure you nobody actually called him Ben Jordan.

I have a hard time seeing the Wizards putting up much of a series, let alone beating the Bulls. This is a different Bulls team than the last year's team the Wizards beat.
