The Cavs vs Bulls Series

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
While it is true that with a lot of missed shots there are a lot of rebounds to go around, the Bucks were held to only 9 offensive rebounds. The lowest offensive rebound per game average this season was 8.9, so they held them to that low number despite all the boards available to grab. This is going to be huge for the Bulls against the Cavs, they absolutely cannot give you guys second chance opportunities.

While it is true that you can put Lebron on Butler and likely limit him, the advantage created is that Lebron is no longer the guy on Rose.

The offense is good the way it is, Rose is still the better offensive talent and Butler is always capable of stepping up when needed. The offense wasn't really a problem this season. It was the defense.

LeBron would only guard Rose on crucial possessions if it's necessary, I'd hope he'd never have to even think of guarding Rose all game as it's just not necessary. That's not to suggest Irving is a good enough defender, but Rose isn't the same player he once was and is shooting loads more 3's than he had previously.

And I think it's hard to say the Bulls offense is good the way it is. They had 11 points in the first quarter, shot under 40% for the game - at home. Good for them for getting the win, but a game like that would never be won against a better team.

Any thoughts on the Bulls now that a couple of playoff games have been played? Haven't really watched the games but it seems like Butler has been good.

I've watched both games.

They just don't do anything exceptionally well. Last night Chicago shot 38% from the field, 36% from 3 and 63% from the line. Somehow that let them win by 9. Butler has been very good....Rose has been up and down. Gasol has been absolutely horrible on the offensive end. He just looks really average against Milwaukee's athletic front line. All he does is wildly throw shots up and whine for fouls. It's so annoying. Last I looked he was shooting like 30% from the field through 2 games and not getting to the line.

If they were playing anyone other than the Bucks, the series would be tied 1-1. Chicago is shooting 42% from the field and 32.5% from 3 and they have comfortably won both games. The Bucks offense has been horrible. They shot 39% from the field in game 1 and 36% in game 2. They also have had just miserable possessions when they have closed the gap in the 4th. Mayo throwing the ball out of bounds, Carter-Williams taking wild shots at the rim. You can give some credit to the Bulls there but Milwaukee is abysmal and doesn't run any kind of offense. Many times, they have 4 guys on the court that can't shoot. To me, the Bucks have looked like the worst team in the post-season thus far.

Watching the Bulls, I just can't imagine they could beat the Cavs in a 7 game series. They just look like a good but definitely not great team. Guess we'll see.

Chicago better not get too excited about out-rebounding the Bucks. The Cavs are a completely different animal there.

Still not worried about them at all. We can outscore them if they hit shots and their defense is still pretty bad, even if the Bucks can't take advantage of it.

Chicago looked absolutely horrid last night and their local beat writers are playing up their defensive presence...?

Anyone with a brain sees how absolutely inept Milwaukee's offense is/was.

Their leading scorer is Middleton at 13.4 ppg... Let that sink in.

Not only am I not afraid of Chicago, I relish the chance to play them. At their absolute best, the Cavs are still slight favorites. When they have off nights (like last night), the Cavs will blow them away.

Chicago wasn't even that good offensively in Game 2.
Lots of turnovers and the offense seemed really stuck many times. Butler's talents really just carried them through this game. The Bucks could've just as easily won that game if they were a little better on O.

I'm looking forward to a 4 game pounding of these New England pussies. Fuck Boston.

I want to move on to sweeping those pussies in Chicago. They're a bunch of overrated asshats whose team is about to implode after the season.

Am I the only one worried about LeBron's defense this season? He seems so lazy on that end. I don't think I've ever seen him even put his hand up against 3 point shooter. I'm kind of scared to see what's going to happen against either Dunleavy or Korver.

LeBron has been super lazy at times this season, but when he turned it on he was great on D and helped other guys by calling swiches etc.

I trust LeBron's judgement and experience to know when he needs to tighten it up.

His defense against Harden at the end of the game should tell us all we need to know about whether he can turn it on defense or not. I am a bit surprised that he was bit lazy this year on defense. I know he has always wanted to win DPOY.

Seems likely that the Cavs would go with Shumpert on Rose and Lebron on Butler and then hide Kyrie on Dunleavy. If the Bulls want to try to post up Dunleavy, I think the Cavs would live with it.

This plan doesn't work if Mirotic is playing SF that forces kyrie on rose.
