ECF: Cavs 4 - Hawks 0

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thanks for the jinx guys

Thanks

I swear guess LEBRON hasn't still taught how yall to be winners, take it step by step

I'm more worried about a healthy Toronto than Atlanta

lol @ people not scared of a team thats like 32-3 in the last 35.

gimme a break. thats a 73-74 win season if they didnt start out shitty.

As we learned during the 66 win Cavaliers team, winning a bunch in the regular season means next to nothing. It's all about matchups and stars in the playoffs.

Don't get me wrong, I think Atlanta does have the skills to give us a lot of problems, particularly their PF-C combo...but I'm not too terribly worried about Atlanta. Especially the way that the Cavaliers have started shutting down the paint and defending PGs.

@The Oi

I'm not that worried too.. If we can play like we have recently come Playoff time we have a fair chance against ANY Team.

Also the Hawks while playing good Team defense have no one who even remotley can guard Lebron 1vs1 They Have no Marion,Leonard,Green etc. Caroll and Thabo are solid defenders but none of them Is Tall/Strong enough to guard Lebron.

Also If Kyrie keeps up his trend of shutting down opposing PGs the Teauge/Schröder Rotation isnt that scary anmore.

The Horford/Milshap Dou is Dangerous though.. They could draw Mozgov out of the Paint.

The Cavs are 8-1 with Mozgov on the team and LeBron in the lineup. Add in the fact that there are no back to back games in the playoffs and I like the Cavs chances barring injury.

The Houston Rockets won 22 straight in the regular season in 2007-08 and were eliminated in the first round that year. How teams play midseason and how they fare in the postseason don't always correlate.

It shouldn't surprise a single person if and when the Hawks come back down to earth at some point. Teams play differently throughout the season as it progresses. A clunky, patchwork Cavs team with a lethargic LeBron James beat the Hawks by over 30 in the early part of the season.

"BUT THE HAWKS ARE A DIFFERENT AND MUCH BETTER TEAM NOW!!" you say?

So are the Cavs... Especially in comparison to the game where the Hawks returned the favor and waxed the Cavs.

They're a really good team with a lot of really good players that spread the floor and pass the ball. They have the talent and the skill to come out of the East. They present more match-up problems than Washington or Chicago and I'd rather not play them until the Conference Finals.

I love what the hawks are doing a great thing for the NBA. Their team should be the model for all mid markets to build like instead of constantly rolling the dice on the lotto.
Unfortunately for the hawks the playoffs are all about matchups and adjustments.
The advantage the cavs have over the rest of the east is they can change their style of play over a short period of time. They can run it inside, play small, drive and kick etc..
The hawks have a formula that is working really well for them but in a playoff series you can take away a couple of options and if the cavs current trend for controlling opposing point guards held true they have the best chance of beating them

Until someone beats them in the playoffs... Cavs vs. Spurs.

The games don't count until April.

So does Ferry get executive of the year?

The Luol Deng thing ruined all chance of Ferry winning that award this year.
