Addressing the hole at center

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Henson from Milwaukee is a guy is want before sanders. But now Larry is having some sort of issues and Parker is hurt I don't see them anxious to get rid of Henson and his friendly contract.

Larry Sanders is no longer "ill". He is now out for " personal reasons" and Kidd says he hasn't been participating in team activities for a long while. So there's that.

Good we can now stop talking about him right?

As Zach Lowe said, "Kidd used this same language re "personal reasons" last season w/ Blatche, and it was code for Kidd telling him to stay away from the team."

Larry sanders is a piece of garbage, it would take the strongest lockeroom in basketball to put him in line. That's not us

I think TT has shown in these last few games he's willing to do anything to fill the gap left by AV's injury. Great hustle! In my view, he's actually much better in a starting role than AV was. I believe what we really need at this point is a backup center that can come in for 15 minutes a game and play D--someone who is a proven veteran, has the right locker room attitude, and someone with playoff experience.

And just as importantly we need to do that without sacrificing the remaining assets we will need in the future. If he can still perform at the level in this video from last season, I think Jermaine O'Neal is the right choice for an immediate fix for the hole at center. With the DPE we can clearly afford him, and it's time for his decision to be made so hopefully we can bring him to Cleveland. Maybe LBJ can take some time during his rehab and make a few phone calls.

Thank goodness for that.

Needs to be Mozgov or Wright I think, with my preference being Mozgov because of his familiarity with David Blatt. Keep that head case Sanders the fuck away from an already fragile team, please.

He will likely sign in Dallas

I would like to see what TT could do next to a REAL center. I think it would take some pressure off him and he could grab a ton of offensive rebounds

Denver plays Memphis tonight, so a good chance their losing streak hits 4 in a row. Hopefully they are getting closer to blowing it up.

I still just want a small deal, bringing in someone like Ed Davis or John Henson to come off the bench. I see this as a season to build off of, and do not see any reason to cash in multiple assets in a desperate move.

Dalembert's defensive numbers look good again this year: he'd be a nice stopgap which we should be able to get DPE till we get a more long term solution.
Mozgov seems more attainable as the season progresses but we're going to have to give a pick to get him (probably the Memphis one).

Not sure what the long term solution would be: Mozgov since he's in his prime seems like a guy who could adequately fill the center role for the rest of Lebron's superstar level years. Don't know if the Cavs feel like they have a shot at higher caliber center like Hibbert this offseason however (the combination of Haywood's contract and a first rounder makes obtaining a guy like Hibbert feasible in the offseason)

The drafting of TT has screwed this franchise not because TT is a bad player because he isn't but it's very hard to play him next to most centers as he has no offensive ability outside of the dunk to speak of. Literally there is no good rim protecting that you can play him next too outside of Marc Gasol and Ibaka.

honestly at this point I think using the DPE on Dalembert seems like the best option out there.

what about joel anthony from the pistons? he's a great defensive center and quality rim protector. a bit small but was part of that great miami heat defense and seems to still be blocking shots.
although, extremely limited in offense, probably one of the worst in the league.

Yes. You can't criticize TT's effort. He gives his all and it is truly great to see that but when you are up against a Drummond or Gasol or Boogie or Howard, you will get killed in the paint. Even in the east there are some big front courts of Gortat and Nene from Wizards, Pau and Noah from Bulls, Al Horford and Millsap from Hawks.
