Addressing the hole at center

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The drafting of TT has screwed this franchise not because TT is a bad player because he isn't but it's very hard to play him next to most centers as he has no offensive ability outside of the dunk to speak of. Literally there is no good rim protecting that you can play him next too outside of Marc Gasol and Ibaka.
You can add the other G
Yes. You can't criticize TT's effort. He gives his all and it is truly great to see that but when you are up against a Drummond or Gasol or Boogie or Howard, you will get killed in the paint. Even in the east there are some big front courts of Gortat and Nene from Wizards, Pau and Noah from Bulls, Al Horford and Millsap from Hawks.
One of them is not like the others.

honestly at this point I think using the DPE on Dalembert seems like the best option out there.

what about joel anthony from the pistons? he's a great defensive center and quality rim protector. a bit small but was part of that great miami heat defense and seems to still be blocking shots.
although, extremely limited in offense, probably one of the worst in the league.
Only problem with Dally is that he isn't exactly a smart player, but he would still help us. Mozgov is still a better get for us because of his age, familiarity with Blatt and his more well-rounded game.

Larry sanders is a piece of garbage, it would take the strongest lockeroom in basketball to put him in line. That's not us

Bu bu but, we have high character guys like Larry Sanders on our team! "We don't want Waiters near our young guys for chemistry reasons." :celb (13):

On a serious note, the hard part for a deal are the assets the Cav's have. We don't want Waiters near our young guys for chemistry reasons

I think Alexis Ajinca is someone we should go after. Ajinca and Brandan Wright. Get them both. I like Ajinca's game - it has some upside & a real center's body.

PBT on NBC is reporting that Okafor is going to sit out the season and wait until next year to come back.

There is another one of the list that was being bandied about as a possibility for front line help that was realistic at least.

Anyone watch Rudy Gobert on the Jazz? Hadn't really heard of him but was watching him play the Wolves and he completely changed the game defensively. 22 years old, 7 ft 1 and 245 pounds. Averaging 6 points, 6.5 boards, and 2 blocks with a 21 PER in 18 minutes.

Not sure how high the Jazz are on him or what it would take to pry him away, but definitely seems to be a lot of what we need on defense.

I like him ALOT. Watched him in summer league and he showed some serious flashes of talent. Would be perfect for this team.

Reality is however the Jazz have no reason whatsoever to give him up as they are rebuilding and he is a young talented big on a rookie contract.

We would have to overpay to even get them to consider. Probably be more likely to get them to consider trading Favors honestly because of his contract.

Yeah he was one of the intriguing developmental big men in the draft a couple of years ago. He has a 7'9 wingspan. I doubt they'd consider trading him.

Jazz would trade Kanter before trading away Favors. Favors is locked up to one of the best contracts in the league next to Taj Gibson and Steph Curry.

They're not going to trade Kanter though, and if they did they could get a far better package for him than we can offer.

The Haywood contract is likely to land a veteran big with major question marks on a bad contract.

Young productive bigs on good contracts don't get moved usually unless they are bringing a huge haul back. It is too hard to find them, and if a team is looking for salary relief they will move any other position first because it is easier to replace down the line.

I mentioned him earlier this year. I can't believe he fell to 27th in the draft. He's a year or maybe two away from being a huge difference maker even though he's limited in offense. He's got decent touch around the rim, hobbles up boards, and protects the rim wonderfully. I can see him at 3-4 blocks per game as a starter. In short, Utah isn't going to get rid of him.

I think they'd deal Kanter before they'd deal Gobert, personally. At any rate, they've got a solid, young big man rotation that they have no reason to break up right now.

He is already getting there.

Got the start tonight and had 13/11/6 blocks in 31 minutes.
