Alex Mack: Broken Leg

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Oh, come on, people, where are the comments? How the Browns just lost a good but not great center? How he deserved it for trying to leave the wonderful Browns organization? ZOMG this is so Cleveland? What a bad break this is ROFLROFLROFL? I'm disappointed in this group.

According to our records, this is one of the 10 worst posts in the history of RCF...

Having John Greco step in is huge. He's a solid, competent player and he can do the job.

The way the players reacted to Mack's injury- on both sides, including the Steelers- says a lot about him. You could see how much respect he gets.

You can thank Pat Shurmur for him :chuckle:

Seriously, though, Greco was a nice get from St. Louis, especially for so cheap.. We knew he could play Center, but he's never needed to. It seems like he'll be a pretty solid replacement this season. Let's just hope that McQuistan is capable of holding up at guard.

Didn't McQuistan grade out to be one of the worst guards last season? At least we have Shanahan to work on the issues if that's indeed the case.

Well, it should be- all I did was regurgitate opinions posted about Mack back when he dared to test FA, and then after the browns transition tagged him forcing him to find another team to handle negotiations. I figured the same folks would be ok with this, since they called him those things back then. I just htought folks should be consistent.

We claimed this guy from San Diego and immediately put him on IR since he was injured...

Well, the guy lives 3 houses down from me in a surprisingly modest house, so the wives are already cooking for him, and my neighbor and I are dropping off a note to let him know we'll get his trash out for him if he needs help. Crutches and trash are a bitch.

It's kind of weird. None of the houses on this street are over $250,000, but he's the second Browns player (Hank Poteat) to live here.

Fucking Hank Poteat... still trying to forget he even played for us.

Earlier someone brought up McQuistan. I don't know what he graded out to, but he was a spot starter/top reserve at Guard for the Seahawks last year. So, while you can't truly replace a player like Mack, and there is no sugar coating how much this sucks... we could always be worse off. Go check out some of the names that have started at guard for us in the "worst Browns depth chart 1999-2014" to make yourself feel better.
