Anderson Varejao

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Anderson Varejao is our untouchable

He blocked those shots on the way up. I don't think I've seen him block a shot above the rim all year

I don't remember if it was his 1st or 2nd block, not sure who it was on either and I'm not one to go searching for a video, but I know at the time, I thought holy fuck, was that Andy up that high to get that?

Re: Anderson Varejao is our untouchable

okc kept nick collison. i understand andy is a lot better than collison but i see them as similar hustle players. i understand the idea of trading andy while hes worth something, but imo hes worth more staying here than anything we will get

so 2-3 years of Andy while missing the playoffs or barely getting in and getting swept in the first round are worth more to you than the difference between picking in the top 5 instead of 12-15 plus the pick/young player we would get for Andy?

his influence on our current and future young players is undeniable. i know that we need to do bad and get more draft picks. im not scared of mediocrity because truly good organizations dont stay mediocre, and bad organizations wont get better at all. the bulls got rose while being the 8th worst team in the league. they had two mediocre years, and didnt go anywhere in the playoffs. they won 21 more games last year than the year before. atlanta had the same length of rebuild as okc.

Re: Anderson Varejao is our untouchable

Why would we not get "fair value" for him? Every GM in the NBA knows what he brings every night.

Thinking we are going to get an "unprotected lotto pick" is just crazy talk!

I like a trade someone mentioned with The Sixers.

AV/Sessions or Gibson

For

E. Turner/Noc/2012 1st round Pick
LMAO

Yea, Andy is basically the 2nd most important player on the current team (with a great contract by the way, something many seem to ignore), so I guess he really is best thing we have to entice. But, he is also such a backbone to winning and is "PROVEN" . It really all comes down to what pick or player you think would be worth losing his contribution for.

If we aren't competing in the 2 or 3 years it's a failure to me anyway and I think Andy will compete for many more years. With the unkowns of the new CBA, I just don't see any way we could get what he is truly worth. Again, it all come down to what you think that is. I kind of like proven vs. a crap shoot...

Re: Anderson Varejao is our untouchable

By the way, if Andy stays healthy and continues his stellar play and stats for the whole year, the coaches will know/vote that we have an allstar on are team.

Re: Anderson Varejao is our untouchable

I don't know what everyone is talking about when they say Andy is losing his hops???? You can't lose what you never had.

I'm more scared of him losing his lateral quickness as he's never been an above the rim player

Re: Anderson Varejao is our untouchable

Is it possible that are very own Cavs have two "all stars" on it?

Re: Anderson Varejao is our untouchable

well I mean stat wise... Irving and Varejao....Dont get me wrong there is no way they get in....but if the Cavs were one of the best teams in the East they would

Re: Anderson Varejao is our untouchable

alright, usually I try to refrain from being the grammar police, but I have seen this too many times in the past few days.

It's our not are. Our team is great. Players are great. Our shows common possession while are is plural for is

I've seen it from multiple posters and at a greater clip in the past few days so I just thought I would throw it out there as it seems to be in a lot of threads

Re: Anderson Varejao is our untouchable

Anderson is the silver bullet Gilbert should put in LeBrons figurative tiny head.

He should gift Varejao to Orlando or Chicago

Andy and Dwight Howard is the most disgusting defensive tandem in years. Howard plays up and down, Andy plays side to side.

Andy and Noah would also be a great tandem.

It's funny how Andy, that one piece could make all of the difference in the world to either of those teams.

Hell Maybe Dwight would stay in Orlando, even better.

Three team trades guys, fire away.......

No offense Frank, but those are probably the only two teams that do not improve much because of AV. I love Andy, but lets remember that part of the reason he looks so good is because of the team he plays with.
