Anderson Varejao Trade Ideas

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Andy goes NOWHERE.

I don't know why the rest of these people can't get it through their heads. WE ARE NOT TRADING ANDY. The Cavs turned down good offers for him around the time of the draft. They will not trade him, unless they bring in someone who has TREMENDOUS upside. I would like to see Andy retire in Cleveland, or at least spend the rest of his prime years here.

Is this an offer you can't refuse:

AV and Cassapi for Perkins, Jones, Lamb
or
AV and Cassapi for Perkins, Jones and Toronto's pick
or
AV and Cassapi for Perkins, OKC 1st and bobcats 2nd and Toronto's pick

Sorry but Varejao and Asspie wouldn't get any of the following..Especially Lamb and PJIII. Sorry, bro.

I would actually be sad if Varejao left now. Two years ago..yeah, I wanted him gone..Now? He has to stay with us.

I'd hate to see him go as well, but if we can get good value for him we need to pull the trigger.

I wouldn't mind dealing him to the Spurs and getting back Kawhi Leanord in return.

Only way I get rid of Andy, is if we somehow get Paul George.

How do you know that? The Cavs denied all of the trade talks. Nobody knows if Andy was sought after or not and what they were being offered even he was.

Hate saying it, but I'm 99% certain Andy gets traded by the deadline.

I'm about 70% certain the Cavaliers will get a solid deal out of it.

What about Kosta Koufos, Wilson Chandler, and Quincy Miller for AV, Walton, and either Miles or Casspi?

i am more curious about this than anything else cavs-related.

i'm sure teams have been intermittently making offers (depending on his health status) for av since lebron left. but really, aside from that derrick williams rumor from the ever-credible hoopsworld, i can't remember too many players actually linked to the cavs.

are the cavs refusing good offers because they're totally delusional? are teams trying to lowball the cavs because av is so injury prone and up there in years? a mix of both? i'm so curious and really wish more names were revealed.

hopefully this is the year...

wilson chandler is not good. no thanks.

Denver has javale magee an they traded away nene. I dont see them as a realistic trade partner.

noone seems to even bother to establish Need.

here are the 29 teams in the NBA. lets go through each team and rate their trade potential

look at this criteria
Viability- the team would have to have a need for a 4/5

need- the team would need to have an all star or near all star level caliber player. primarily at the small forward position. A young guy in the frontcourt would be a possibility as well

Contender - the potential trading partners would be for teams going to the playoffs and needing a solid rebounding energy efficient back player who could possibly put them over the top.

Things the Cavs will not do.

just trade for a draft pick.

Trade for a veteran established player over 28 without some type of lottery pick.

-Trade for a guy who would not start.

You will also need to factor in Andy;s value to the club

- consistency - Andy provide consistency at a high level that is immensely valuable for a young team that needs to learn how to win
- Marketability - andy is an extremely popular player . He adds value to the clubs bottom line

etc
