Anderson Varejao

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I dont like AV's body language. I dont think his play has anythng to do with his age or being out for a year. I Think Scott let Anderson be the player AV could be and Brown is pigeon holing him into a style he doesnt want to play.

I think its time to trade AV. Brown has made him expendable

I don't know but if even AV's body language is an issue, maybe the problem is bigger. Dude is known for always giving 110%

What is Andy's obsession this season with throwing the ball into traffic in the lane seemingly everytime he touches it?

I can't even stand watching him on offense now because of it, and I don't even remember him being anything like this the past few years in the few games a year he did actually play.

Still a better assist/turnover ratio than Jarrett Jack :chuckles:

Andy's timing is still off. he mentioned it might take some time. He is going to look better the more he is on the 2nd unit. I do agree that he is deferring to Tristan now.

I don't know if it's timing.. He's had a serious injury each of the last 3 seasons and he's 31. The injuries have taken a toll on him, he's just not as good.

I still have to agree with that right now. He's just not as active and isn't getting to balls or areas on the floor like he used to. He's really slowed down. Varejao was never a great leaper but he doesn't even get off the floor anymore.

I'm hopeful this can come back but fear we're seeing the aging and drop off in his starting to show.

Reminds me of how Ben Wallace seemingly fell off a cliff overnight.

Went from being defensive player of the year to a shell of himself in record time, at right about the age Andy is.

He's always tried to force the issue a bit on "cute" passes but this year it is worse than ever. Seriously frustrating....this team is terrible at decision making when it comes to passes.

It's one of my huge pet peeves right now. When Andy has the ball, I close my eyes when someone starts to cut, because no matter what, Andy is going to try and pass that person the ball. It's really old.

Varejao is like the carpenter ant you hit with the telephone book that just won't die.

Varejao was physically done to start the 4th. Mike Brown wants to kill him. For all the worry about Bynum varejao is a cripple himself.

The strange thing is that he seemed to get a 3rd wind, and he was hustling in OT. I agree that Brown is going to run him into the ground. 2nd night of a back to back and Bennett, Zeller, and Sims were cemented on the bench. Seemed like Mike Brown *really* wanted the win tonight. He wasn't using his TO's as a teaching demonstration.

This guy looks old. Love him as a player and what he has brought to the franchise. But he is just not that good anymore.

Has a nice shot. But the defense is just not there. Nene is abusing him.

Andy is and will always be an intangible player. He will not succeed on a team full of young players who haven't bought into a defensive save all game because his game is not to dominate in any one area besides hustling. He's never been anything else. The guy still moves.

Mike Brown has driven our offense into an abyss that we will never swim out of. You want to know why Andy is not as productive? Watch the fucking games and learn just how important a disciplined offense really is.

Not to mention... he's a starting power forward and a back up center if need be. Not on this team...
