If we keep Embiid, I'd like to keep AV. It would be good to have Embiid go against him practice as Andy is a good one on one defender who knows a lot of veteran and flopping tricks. That will help Embiid learn how to use his mass and length against NBA skill and length.

Then on defense we already know about AV's footspeed and ability to guard the PnR: no better guy to learn from as teams will try to put Embiid into that situation

So, what do we do with AV? Embiid basically eliminates his center duties. I think we go another direction. Is this the end for varejao in a cavalier uniform?

I don't think we can truly count on Embiid, AB or Andy for anything right now with their various issues... for that reason I'd keep all 3 together if the goal is to "win now."

Don't rely on or pressure any one of them and spread the burden for this year. Then hopefully next year both AB and JoJo are up to speed.



EDIT:

Let me try to expand on this. I think those 3 together as a group should be seen as, and relied upon, as 1 starter and 1 backup when looking at the big rotation currently.
