Pretty predictably, Wiggins has, cumulatively, not been very good. I mean, at all. Will he be a star in a few years? I just think the odds are really against it. Bennett has been pretty good, but he isn't playing very much. Both would be much better off if Rubio were healthy. I remember in summer league how Wiggins and Bennett both looked lost when Delly didn't play.
The Cavs made the right move in trading Wiggins and Bennett, and that's the case even if Wiggins does somehow become a star at some point down the road. Can you imagine LeBron's frustration if they hadn't done that deal? You get LeBron and you have a chance to get an established star like Love, that's an absolute no-brainer.
That said, I'd also have made that deal if I were Minny, though I might have told the Cavs to draft Parker over Wiggins. As it stands, Minny does have some young talent, but I remain skeptical how good some of these young players will ever be. I think I'd start trying to trade away some of the vets who are clogging the roster.
