Andrew Wiggins

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think wiggins will follow a career path like paul george. Steady improvement accross the board, but the iso scoring will be the last thing to come and always struggle with it a bit.

Did anyone see the Rockets overtime game? Wiggins took them to overtime and almost won the game during regulation by working in the post after some great put backs, and a couple tough shots.

He was aggressive and played some great end of game d on Harden, who has been a very clutch player this season.

Maybe he is passive sometimes, but I think this kid has it and he is still very young. He is definitely raw still, but the post game really surprised me. His room to grow is as large as anyone.

Agree on Lavine as well.

The post game shouldn't be too surprising, he's at his best on offense if he doesn't have to put in too many dribbles and he's forced to be part of the action: I think one of his first baskets this season was a post-up. His game is a lot like VC's: fadeaway jumpers using his elevation, and post-up again using elevation. Scouting report for him have been basically spot - on. Amazing athletes with some polished skills (3 point stroke and the aforementioned pull up jumper either off one dribble or post up) but really lacks ball skills and the lack of a good motor is a real concern.

A good point guard can alleviate some of that. He has a good noise for the ball, and I have seen him be pretty aggressive. I think the Paul George comparisons are pretty on and he is too smart to be Jeff Green.

I have no idea how good he'll be. It's all potential with him: he has the athleticism with that jumper to max out as a TMac type but on other hand, particularly in high school to pros era, I haven't seen future superstar player have such trouble with things like dribbling/motor. Gut tells me he's going to be around a Kawhi Leonard type.

Some of the guys who have trained him say they haven't seen anyone with his gifts either. He is quicker and jumps higher than 99% of the league.

His handle is not tight, but he has better instincts as a player than guys like Josh Smith. Comparing him to guys like Gerald Green is just not fair either, because guys like that are not basketball players. Wiggins is a basketball player, and you want to see flashes of greatness from him. He has already had a 29 point game. It's a good sign, but of course there are no guarantees whatsoever.

KING DION! WE ARE ALL WITNESSES!!!!!!!!!!!
You might want to want to wait more than a half from one game.

By the way, this is the wrong thread.

18. Andrew Wiggins | Projected 3-year WARP: Minus-4.0

Pelton: As promising as Wiggins is, he's been ineffective as a pro, making just 38.5 percent of his 2-point attempts with an assist-to-turnover ratio barely better than 1-to-2. As a result, his minus-1.4 WARP is the league's worst total.
Thorpe: Wiggins already is showing the signs of being the best perimeter defender in the league, and perhaps the best shooting athlete (as a rookie) in generations. He's far from being skilled enough with his dribble to dominate games, though he will post up wings effectively, rare for a teenager.
Elhassan: A lot of the gripe people have with Wiggins is actually tied to his lack of skill level. He doesn't settle for midrange jumpers because he's misguided; rather, it's because he doesn't possess the skill level to get to where he can be more efficient.

Rich mans Harrison Barnes. Nice kid though.

Man, Thorpe is full of them today.

Andrew Wiggins scored 23 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and got the first double-double of his career. More importantly, the Timberwolves defeated the Portland Trailblazers at home. That is a quality win. Coming off the heels of Wiggins' previous game in which he broke his recent slump, he is looking good again. You see the potential again right now.

Wiggind/LaVine great potential both of them if they can get lucky and get a top 3 pick to pair those 2 with okafor/towns.

Still would have done what ever it took to get Ryan Anderson from the Pelicans and kept this kid.

The Ryan Anderson who's having one of his worst seasons as a pro? Or have you only watched the games he's played against the Cavs?
