Andrew Wiggins

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
3 point shooting and shooting in general was supposed to be a weakness of his. It isn't going to be. He looks like he is going to be a good shooter. So what's the worst case scenario?

I think it has to be a 3 and d player who is really amazing on D. Notice how many posters Lebron had on him. Lebron tried to take him to the rack and had to pass out more than once.

He can obviously get to the rack a little bit. I dunno I think he has a Paul George trajectory ahead for him.

And he has a strong work ethic. I watched Ben McLemore last year he literally had one if the worst rookie seasons ever. Worked on his game and now this dude is looking like he will be an all star down the road. Wiggins will improve he will be an all nba defender his shot will be decent and if/when he gets his handle down I say 1-3years watch the hell out.

Future two way stud. I said during draft time and it's still true. Personally, I wanted to keep him so he could grow with the core of Irving and James (ala OKC) and then he could step in as Lebron declined.

Huh: shooting was a strength of his. He's always had good form.
This is what he has going for him and I've watched a ton of him this season and it hasn't changed
-athleticism: by far his best attribute - good length, good hops, and good quickness.
-he has good form on his jumper
-he has good form on pullups
-he is comfortable with his back to the basket
-he plays a lot like VC
-his problems is his motor, ballhandling, and basketball IQ: he doesn't come close to maximizing his athletic ability. He's going to have put together more then one good game against the team that has traded him to convince me he isn't going to be hindered by this. Paul George is his maximum (I just don't Lebron/peak TMac in him based on this year and his freshman year) but I think the TWolves would be happy if he ends up like Kawhii Leonard which I think is where he is going to end up.

Except every single metric says the exact opposite. That no one has ever been this bad and turned into an exceptional player. If he turns into a two- way stud, it will be a historic turnaround from being almost the least valuable player in the league like he is right now into a stud.

I know his season hasn't gone good if people are saying his shooting is his best asset. Holy shit we drafted him knowing he couldn't shoot but it was supposed to be everything else that flourished . If your telling me all ppl can compliment Is his shooting now then he has a problem lol dude isn't Klay Thompson, he's Andrew Wiggins, IDGAF how good you can shoot RIGHT NOW. I wanna see you Attack the rim and not turn it over

Good game but still he has the worst +- yet again in the team..
Why is that?
Also, he can't finish with his left hand at all..
and why is he so laid back? I wanna see him blasting through the court

According to FiveThirtyEight, compared against other 19-year-old rookies who played at least 24 mins per game, Wiggins is "among the least effective."

He'll get there. He's in a situation where he's on a pretty bad team and so he gets a lot of minutes.

I know these types of articles might give some of you some consolation, but reality is that Wiggins is no bust. He's going to be a stud. Just look at those highlights. If you can't recognize that's a top caliber talent who has a high floor and even higher ceiling then I don't even know what to say.

I wasn't looking for consolation, I still trade Wiggins for Love. Just posted the article to add to the discussion as I saw it come across my newsfeed. Obviously no study done 30 games into a 19-year-old's rookie season is concrete, just interesting to see things from all sides.

Ben Mclemore had one of the worst rookie seasons of all time last year. This year he looks like he can be an all star in 2-3 years don't be quick to judge. Wiggins has more talent then mclemore and looks better than he did last year with his work ethic he will keep improving. As long as he gets his handles to average he will get to the rim at will and he will have an above average jumper. 20ppg will be easy for him.
