Annual RCF Rate My Team/Who to Play Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The question isn't will Donnell out perform Julius, because I think we all know the answer to that. Would you agree that having two top ten TE's is a bit redundant on your roster? Especially if you have Donnell just sitting on your bench?

The question I'm asking is who has more upside the ROS, Ball or Stacy? Personally, I think it's Ball.

That's a tough call. I'd probably give the edge to Stacy, honestly.

If I were you, I'd counter the offer with just Thomas (and a throw-in) for Ball and Quick. Thomas is by far the best player in the trade at this point in the season. He should net you a guy who is currently a low-end RB2 and a WR who is either on the bench or a flex play for most teams.

I agree that it's probably redundant to have both Donnell and Thomas. I just think you're considering making a trade where you're giving up the two best players. If you're giving up the second best TE in the league right now, you should get more than two second-tier guys.

I countered with Donnell and Stacy for Ball and Quick.

On a different note, I seriously love this league's scoring. People looked at me like I was crazy because I took Rodgers at 11, well this is why:

I just traded Donnell in that league for Wayne. Needed to bolster my WRs. I have Lamar Miller bye so I'm not usually starting Jeremy Hill.

This is the league with a bunch of bench spots where Torrey Smith would be the best player on waivers if I dropped him.

10 team 1 ppr being offered Quick and Ball for Julius and Stacy. I have Donnell on the bench so I will still have a top 10 TE if I accept.

Thoughts?

Stacy > Ball
Julius > Quick

Not even subject to debate. Donnell on the bench is irrelevant with how badly you'd be getting ripped off. You really want a pass catcher on the Rams over the Broncos?

Donnell and Stacy for QuickBall is much more reasonable and probably beneficial for both of you. Good move.

Jigo, he rejected as I thought he would

Donnell isn't a big enough upgrade from Cameron in his eyes

Julius > Quick

Not subject to a debate? That's extreme.Noone is debating Julius vs Quick, OTOH I'll take Ball and you take Stacy. I'd be flabbergasted if Ball's #s were lower than Stacy's by EOY.

Maybe, but will that difference be greater than the difference in numbers of Julius Thomas and Larry Donnell? Probably not.

Again that's not the question.

The question is will Larry Donnell outperform the average TE every week?

I think my question was accurate. If the difference between Thomas and Donnell is greater than the difference between Stacy and Ball, you're downgrading via that trade. I'm assuming you won't be starting Quick, so he doesn't really factor into this discussion, as he's just bench depth.

I also think we're jumping the gun on Donnell being a top-tier TE. I personally need to see more from him, and this would be especially true if I was thinking of dealing away Julius Thomas. That's a big gamble, and it could really backfire if Donnell regresses.

By accepting this trade, you're saying that you're confident that Donnell and Ball will outperform Stacy and Thomas...and I think that's crazy.

Was offered Mike Wallace and Monte Ball in another league for Gronk. I have no other YEs don't need another rb since I have Murray and Ball. My WR are Julio + Brian Quick. It's .5ppr and there isn't much for TE. I could trade Bradshaw for a Te if I snag Ball though.

I'm being offered Gronkowski for Philip Rivers, this is my first year of doing fantasy football. I'm not sure if that's good value or not. I had Pitta as my TE so I could use a new TE, but Gronk hasn't been doing that great and Brady appears to be slipping a little. He also desperately needs a QB, and had Julius Thomas also. Should I counter with Thomas instead?

Who is your other QB? Rivers has been one of the best QBs in the league so far outside of a poor week one.

Also, who is your current TE now that Pitta is gone?

My other QB is Luck who I've been starting every week, and who also has the same bye week as Rivers. I've basically been holding onto Rivers with the thought that is Luck somehow goes down to a season ending or long injury, I don't really miss a beat with Rivers, as opposed to taking a big hit picking someone up from the waiver wire if I trade Rivers.

My current TE is Heath Miller, I picked him up this week.

I also feel like I can get more for Rivers than Gronk, who hasn't been putting up insane numbers and may get worse if Brady really is starting to decline.

Donnell...damn.

Stafford....ugh.

Thankfully gonna win both games anyways. Fuck yeah Panther's D (after -5 and -7, put up 25) and Demaryius Thomas finally earning his second round draft pick status.

Fucking Demaryius Thomas. Fuck.
