Anthony Bennett

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Odd that I love TT, but would be ecstatic if Bennett became the player he is capable of. I guess I've be using the wrong definition of hate for 25+ yrs.

I feel the same way. They really bring different things to the table. I see TT being an elite rebounder who will develop a short jump shot and a post game. I think his defense will go to another level under Mike Brown. I also thought his blocks would improve once the help D was better, and it is starting to look that way.

AB has big soft mitts and I think finishing on the break like last game is going to help get him started . I think he may be more like Dion in that he needs some touches to get started. The game has to slow down for him, but I think what he reaally needs is playing time. It seems like he often starts slow and then ends up making a lot of his later shots. He looks like a good shooter to me. Adjusting to the nba 3 point line is not always instantaneous.

I for one think they can coexist, and I hope they battle it out in practice and beat the shit out if each other to get better.

It would be nice if they didn't play the same position. If there was no salary cap, I'd be fine with keeping both.
But both AB and TT are in line to make far too much money (compared to the production they give us) to justify keeping both players on the team after the 2014-2015 season.
When you take into account salary concerns, I'd actually be okay with getting rid of both for better fitting pieces, if that's what the FO decides to do.

I really don't think they can co-exist. TT will be paid like a starter this off-season and AB needs starter minutes to develop. They'll both warrant around 32+ mpg, TT because of all the money we'll be paying him and AB because of the development time he needs. I don't think there are enough minutes to go around.

Also you're saying TT can play the 5 in stretches but we still have Zeller, Andy, and another big (If not Hawes I'm pretty confident we'll search for and sign a Center in FA). TT is 6'9 and doesn't really provide overwhelming advantages over centers that would warrant him seeing significant time at the 5. I don't see him playing center at all next season quite frankly because even with our hole at the 5 this year he still barely saw time there.

I'm trying to find out how much time he saw at the 5 this year but I'm not sure how =(

Moved a bunch of Tristan-specific posts to the Tristan thread (thanks for noticing, Rich).

#Cavs' Anthony Bennett mostly working on low blocks with ex-NBA big Michael Ruffin in Vegas. Sidenote: Mich St's Gary Harris also in Vegas.

Russ Smith is like the skinniest guy in the draft, right? Good influence? :chuckles:

The question the validity of any training program that doesn't involve Chuck Ellis and broomsticks

I get so excited every time Griff says "We need to get bigger" in this presser :chuckles:

I thought it was a reference to an injury. Everyone else assumes it was talking about Brown's firing.

He just clarified that it wasnt about Brown. Why the hell is he being so cryptic?
