By the way, the first sentence in the Ringer article about Kitchens getting hired is hilarious:

"After a half-season of not being Hue Jackson, Freddie Kitchens has reportedly been hired by the Cleveland Browns as their next head coach..."

It's a risk but it feels like one that is more in line with what the direction the league is going.

While criticism of his (lack of) experience is warranted? He really did prove a bit when the opprotunity presented itself. Some of his playcalls where amazingly creative and seemed to really tailor well to our quarterbacks strengths.

I really would have preferred Bruce Arians or even Mike McCarthy.

However...I trust the Browns front office and even one outside consultant (Bill Parcells apparently has Haslam's ear) on this hire. These are people that know what they're doing, have done it for years and have an idea of what works.

These people pinpointed Baker, so who am I to question them?
 
I assume they will go after Connor Cook to add another hand in the Kitchen to back up the Baker?

Sports media knows, say anything negative about Baker, you’re getting clicks/views. If it fuels him more to shit all over the league and prove everyone wrong, all of Cleveland will be behind him.

If this was a Jimmy Haslam or even Randy Lerner pick based solely on some drunken intiution? I would get it. This was not it.

His downplaying of Mayfield's abilities is also hilarious. "ALL HE DOES IS HE THROWS THE BALL ACCURATELY"
