possible East Division Trade packages by team with winning records.
Knicks - Amare Stoudamire, Iman Shumpert, Chris Copeland
Atlanta- Josh Smith . Own pick, Houston( top 14 protected Pick)
Boston - Jared Sullinger, Avery bradley, Fab Melo, own pick
Brooklyn - Kris Humprhies, Marshon Brooks, ,Mirza Teletrovic, Own pick, GSW top 6 protected
Chicago- Deng/Boozer , Jimmy Butler, Taj gibson, Own , Charlotte top 12 protected,
Milwaukee- Larry Sanders, Doron Lamb, John Henson, Drew Gooden ,
Philly Evan Turner/Allen, Dorell Wright, Arnett Moultrie

Josh Smith is very happy in Atlanta..so scrap that idea.

Please don't start the Amare' Safari up again...haha.

I would love to get Marshon Brooks but not Humphries. Would have to offer quite a bit.

No on Boston trade.

I wouldn't mind getting Taj Gibson and only Gibson. No to Boozer and Deng.

Don't want Drew Gooden back.

I'd love to get Evan Turner...but again would have to offer quite a bit for that trade to work.

As many 2nd rounders as humanly possible. As far as I'm concerned, if Grant can get enough 2nd rounders, we can just bundle them together for a no-questions-asked championship.

I am a huge Paul George fan, its highly unlikely he ends up here through trade, but he is a RFA in 2014. He's really a poor man's Kevin Durant.

Another guy to add to the list is Cousins. I doubt Thompson, lotto pick, and the return of their pick for Cousins would work on the Kings part. Maybe if we took on one or two of Salmons, Hayes, Outlaw or Garcia. That would be a big time get.

If Grant were to somehow obtain an Evan Turner or Al Horford without giving up any of the 1sts or young core (Irving, Waiters, Zeller, and Gee), he should be nominated for GM of the year.

... A reasonable deal for either of those players seems VERY unlikely

You mean kinda like using tickets to buy prizes at Chuck'e'Cheese's, right? :chuckles:

But yeah, add the Toronto 1st rounder from OKC as a potential asset to collect at the trade deadline.

With Derrick Williams basically being thrown out by Minnesota, I don't see how the Cavs don't try to take advantage of that... The low expectations from him and poor play in Minnesota, allow you to bring him off the bench here and see if he'd work out..

I wonder if a Tristan Thompson-Derrick Williams swap might work..

I'm sure Chris Grant would have done that on draft night a year or so back, I wonder if he'd do it now...

He could, but does Williams give us a reason to trade Thompson? I mean, what exactly makes him better anyways? Will he work as hard as Tristan and play within the game?

what I dont understand is if that Williams lost 15 pounds to the three and his major problem at the three is his ball handling and that he never played the position before. Why not send him to the d league to get practice at those things. They arent using him right now. so why not.
