Avengers: Infinity War spoiler thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Am I the only one left disappointed by this moving? Felt the build up was so unbearably slow and the pay off wasn't worth it imo.

I don’t agree at all.

You think the build up was slow? I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, and the movie flew by.

As far as the pay off, what we’re you expecting? What would have been a good pay off in your mind?

Obviously we know most of those people are coming back at some point, but for the time being they just killed off a lot of very important and popular people.

Movie theater was dead silent after the movie ended last night. (Side note: REALLY glad I saw it on a school night so there weren’t any kids in the theater.)

Overall I loved it and can hardly wait for the next one, even though I know most of all the character deaths will likely be undone. For me, the bigger surprise is that none of the Phase 1 Marvel heroes (Iron Man, Captain America, etc) died. The whole theater gasped when Iron Man got stabbed; thought for sure he was going to die.

Also, Thanos is an excellent villain, not cookie cutter at all. He’s complex and he has genuine emotion and truly feels that what he’s doing is right, as is evidenced by the scene with the soul stone where he’s crying and the very last scene of the movie.

There's never been a movie that has had the star-cast that Avengers - Infinity War.

There's never been a movie that has been as hyped as Infinity War was.

It was always going to be a mammoth task to live up to its hype. But my god, Infinity War not only lived up to its hype and expectations, it exceeded mine. Such a beautifully made movie. In fact, to say its a movie wouldn't be right. It was a celebration of the awesomeness of MCU.

Thanks to the Russo Brothers and especially Kevin Feige. These last 10 years has been such a fun and satisfying experience. To have a vision like this is some next level shit, man!

Will post more on the movie later. But I will just say this:-

THANOS. WOW. Just WOW.

In a movie filled with so many superheroes the man who stole the show was Thanos. Take a bow, Josh Brolin!

It was awesome. Probably my favorite MCU movie (haven't seen Black Panther), or at least right there with Dr. Strange and Guardians 1.

What a great fucking movie. It may be recency bias, but it's my favorite MCU film so far.

I said "Oh shit!" or "What the fuck?" multiple times.

Are any of them truly dead? A friend said that Gamora was the only one...but then we thought that maybe if the Soul Stone gets returned, she may come back? Also said Loki isn't dead because his skin didn't turn blue back to his normal color.

Was that Ms. Marvel's insignia at the very very end?

Spiderman...woah on those spider legs popping out. Badass. Also, "Please don't put your eggs in me!!!" lmfao

Gotta figure that Hulk will kick some ass in the next part...he was a pussy after Thanos beat his ass.

What the hell does Dr. Strange know that we all don't that's going to lead towards the end game? He must've known he was dying.

DINKLAGE!!!!!!

Damn! I want to see it again right now!

Yes, it was Captain Marvel's symbol.

Strange saw the millions of outcomes and knows which of the handful would work. Presumably he tells Tony about this.

But, my educated guess is that Ant-Man is part of that solution. If you go back and watch Ant-Man you will know how that would work. Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel both come out before IWII so they have to be linked to the end-game. And Hawkeye.

Also, I am interested to see how Adam Warlock will play into all of this in the Captain Marvel film.

They need Adam Warlock. There’s no other way now.

By the way I fucking loved Red Skull showing up again

Tell me about Ant Man I don’t remember. Saw the movie once

Here is the Wiki entry on his powers:

"Using a gaseous form of "Pym particles" kept in a compartment in his belt, Ant-Man had the power to shrink himself (and other people and objects along with himself) to the size of an ant and return to normal. Over time, he has acquired the ability to change size at will. His cybernetic helmet allows rudimentary telepathic communication with insects, and is equipped with sound amplification equipment allowing normal-sized humans to hear him. The helmet also has a retractable plexiglass face shield and a limited air supply. Lang retained his normal strength in ant size.

Scott Lang can also shrink to sub-microscopic size, and thereby enter the countless "subatomic universes"."

Also, it is mentioned that it is possible that Ant-Man can travel through time.

The way he explained it I was kinda expecting Ronin the Accuser to be there too since he also touched an infinity stone.

Btw saw Ronin was going to be back in Captain Marvel and that makes me happy cause I really loved that villain.

I'm not making light of anything when I say this, but I dont know if it was because I was already depressed going into the movie and felt empty, or I genuinely didn't care for the movie. The deaths at the end didnt have an impact for me because it's quite obvious they will be over turned in some way. I didn't think the movie was bad at all, it had it's moments.
I'll go back and watch it when I'm in a better mood, see if that helps.

Ronin is back because Captain Marvel takes place in the 90s.

Seems like Adam Warlock is going to be in the next Guardians Movie as he’s just now being created by the Sovereign in that birthing pod.

I don’t think he’s going to be a part of this phase.

What’s even the point of bringing him in then if he won’t be helping run shit?
