I have no proof in this situation...unfortunately. I wish I did.

Things are not black & white, and I think we should call a spade a spade: if this woman was fat and ugly, we'd be looking at it (at least I would) from a completely different perspective. There are the have's and have nots.

When/if you have a daughter & a son, I can guarantee you her curfew will be much shorter than his. Is it a double standard? Yes, but they exist for a reason.

Let me pose another question: 2 men are caught stealing food, one bc he's a petty theft, the other because his family is starving. They receive the same punishment, but should they?

The law...is the law. It is in place to govern human beings and the second you start exempting people because of their personal circumstances or gender/race/economic status (as Davek very clearly stated) then you are going down a slippery slope.

Do all girls who fuck their older teachers get irrevocable damage caused? No. Does NOT make it right. To argue that it should elicit a lesser punishment because of this is very strange. I mean let's be real, the laws are in place to prevent pedophiles from preying on kids. There is no reason for this chick to be sleeping with a high school student. NONE. ZERO. The fact that she is, is very, very creepy, as it should be to any adult.

I would have fucked most of my teachers, even the ones that weren't really hot. The ones I wouldn't have, I thought about it at least a few times. I did fuck a woman who was a teacher, though not mine, years after high school and am still pretty proud of myself. So, I'm assuming that the student isn't the one that reported this, it was probably his parents or his friends parents. Which means to me that not only is this no big deal, but it's in high-five territory. Moreover, the public shame she'll bear and getting fired is probably all the punishment I think this even deserves.
