Never watched much of hockey, so I decided to bandwagon the Jackets since they're an Ohio team.

Anybody watch hockey?
Anybody able to name more than five current players?
Anybody know the rules?

Enlighten me.

Honestly I live in D.C. and it goes pretty much in this order:

1-Redskins (sooo many Cowboys fans too for some reason?)
2-Caps
3-Nats
4-Ravens
5-Orioles
6-University of Maryland
7-Georgetown
8-D.C. United
9-Virginia Tech
10-George Mason
11-University of Virginia
12-VCU
13 Howard University
14-Towson
15-UMBC
16-Bowie Baysox
17-Dematha High school
18- Richmond Spiders
19-Washington Senators
20-Washington Wizards

I’m heading to DC tomorrow for a wedding and staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Andrews AFB. Anywhere decent to eat around there, or do I have to head into DC proper?

Well that’s in PG county (which is huge). There’s places around but it depends on what you like ?

If you want a DC Experience I’d definitely head there. Or at the very least hit up Arlington or old town Alexandria which is about 20-30 minutes from where you’ll be...

Or G-Town which is in the same area as both Arlington and downtown DC give or take a 5-10 minutes

1. Nope.

2. Nope. Only know Crosby and Ovetchkin.

3. The main rule to know is Offsides, which is the same for soccer. Basically a player cannot cross the (edit: blueline) on the side of the goal they are attacking before the puck. Then there is Icing which I believe means the puck is cleared all the way down the ice (over the center line and back goal line) and out of danger from your goal. Go look this one up to understand it. Then there is high sticking and slashing which basically mean don't use your stick as a weapon. I think that's all you need to know.

Great game!

I don't watch a ton of hockey. Are major penalties not ended when a goal is scored?

Correct - the power play of death.

Good win. First time in Jackets history they lead in a playoff series!

Missed the game last night but was following on my phone. What a comeback. Would be great to see this franchise win a series.

Go Jackets! Hopefully one Ohio team can show up today! I have this feeling that Bob is going to shut the Caps down tonight

Another comeback! Nice!
