Boardwalk Empire

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Chalky will always be Chalky, to me. As I've only watched 1 episode of "The Wire". This doesn't go over well with a lot of people, as I am an HBO series enthusiast. I have HBOGO, and I can't really get into "The Wire" for some reason. Sorry, WYN.

I would give The Wire about five or six episodes. The great thing about The Wire is that every scene matters; there is very little filler. And the first half of each season basically sets up everything that goes down in the second half or, in some cases, future seasons. It stars slow, so I'm not surprised if you were underwhelmed after the first episode. But if you like Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire, I can't see why you wouldn't like The Wire. It is just as strong, maybe stronger, than both shows.

Just finished the last two episodes of season two. Disturbing, dark and a bit sad at the same time. I wasn't really surprised with the outcome of the end; however I am confused regarding manny and nuck. He asked if roethstine was okay with Manny going yet... well those that have seen it know how it goes down.

I think the ending was a big roll of the dice for the story but like Arnold said: nobody likes a long shot more than a gambler.

Cant wait for Sunday.

So you know why I posted the comment about watching those episodes with your mom. :chuckles: You asked if I was busting your balls, which wasn't the case at all. I just knew what was going down in the episode you were about to watch.

I mean even if you were busting my balls it still would have been funny I don't take stuff like that personally but yeah your post was one of the first thing I thought of when the dorm fun went down. My mom and I just turned and looked at each other with our jaws dropped. We didn't even speak for a couple minutes. Interesting moment is a bit of an understatement lol. Although I will say we both thought something was off with her given how she was always trying to kiss him on the lips. A demented sociopath of a mother indeed.

Any good links to watch this show? I don't have HBO.

i havent seen season 2, but i know michael pitt was supposed to start taking over. i heard they killed him off though. guess i need to downlolad

If you guys want pm me and you can use my comcast account to watch online for free. Ive hbo.

I don't know how to feel about this opening. So much going on. Why Manny? WHY?

I'm calling it now, Jimmy's mom is going to get murked by Richard. She's gotta go.

I actuallt feel bad for Nelson, and I didn't think that was possible, but I see where his turnaround is going to come into play.

Harrow makes the show for me.

Well, it seems Richard is going to go on an anger spree. I don't think it's necessarily Jimmy he's avenging, but Angela. That was probably obvious. You knew he was going to be up to something when Jimmy's mom asked him if he was going out and he said "Yes." Moreover, why Arnold Rothstine continues to be my favorite characters: when Rosetti called him a smug kike, he just responded with a smug smile. I don't know why I'm so enamored with his character.

And where the hell was Eli?

Didn't Eli agree to do some prison time because of Nucky? I thought that's where he might be.

On Richard, who does he go after next? Does he go after Nucky? I agree that he was going at them for Angela, but remember Jimmy took him in and was his only friend too.

I think that Van Alden is going to become a gangster here after losing that competition and is going to work with the Irish side. I thought he was going to have a moral fall here and now I think it even more. They're just setting him up to have that descent in to a moral abyss. I'm not really a fan of his character at all. He's never really fit. They're trying to do too much with him. He's a moralist that kills, ends up stealing, cheating, etc??? I can see they're trying to develop something here but it just doesn't work for me.

I completely forgot about the jail time deal quad. Thanks for the reminder. I am thinking Richard rocks the dude with the annoying laugh next his name is mickey isn't it? He is the one that gave up jimmy's home location in the first place. I would assume that wouldn't come until way later if it even does happen. That's my prediction though.

Just watched 301. The path has been set for Nelson.

On Demand has after the episode chat with the show's creator. Mentions that Richard is indeed avenging Angela, not Jimmy.

I just watched last nights episode.

Im getting tired of Nucky's wife, that chick needs to go

I think Gyp Rosetti is one of the scariest characters on TV. I seriously am thinking he going to kill someone, anyone, for any reason or no reason every single time he's on the screen. They wanted him to look like a psychopath and he's definitely a psychopath.

They've also done a good job of pulling off the "no one is safe", Game of Thrones vibe. I really feel like any character can be killed off at any time.

""What else", you said. Could've been a wrench... or a screwdriver..."
