Bob Myers Warriors GM and Jerry West/Arn Tellem protege

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If Steph's ankle wasn't made out of balsa wood strips and if Andrew Bogut's body wasn't made out of whatever Elijah Price's body was made out of, then I'd share your sentiments.

Kinda felt like Myers was robbed of GM of the year. Funny that the team who was overrated and GSW beat in the first round pretty soundly, racked up awards instead.

This team is not a surprise. They were put together for what they are doing right now. All they needed was a little health throughout the year for these players to develop together.

Barnes is only going to get better. Was waiting for Mark Jackson to start posting him when guys like Gary Neal were guarding him. Really impressed watching him play minutes at the 4 this playoffs. That was, after all, where he dominated in Ames. He couldnt get any minutes there at Chapel Hill because of Zeller and Henson.

If Currys ankle can hold up, I still wouldnt be surprised to see them lose to Memphis in the WCF and be ready to contend from here, depending on what happens with David Lee.

If Myers called this summer and offered Lee for Andy, would you bite?

Warriors just ball out

There was a column by a Golden State writer where he was trying to sell the fanbase on adding more to Lee to ship him to us for Andy. Hadnt seen his name discussed here in regard to Andy, I dont think.

I'll take Lee's no defense, 20-10, excellent passing ability over Andys 21 games played a year.

That contract....I mean...good lord. On the books thru 2016 for over $15m? I'll gladly risk Andy staying reasonably healthy over the next few years (or trading him for a non-albatross contract) over anchoring our cap space to David Lee.

From the Warriors perspective, I would absolutely try to ship Lee for Andy, even if it took sweetening.

Just over one year ago, they were tanking out the final few weeks of the season and the owner was booed at center court.

If they move Lee, it would be a classic sell high. Lee tries defensively, but he still isn't a good defender. He was fortunate to share the front court with three legitimate defensive presences (Bougut, Ezeli, Biedrins). If Lee is a poor man's All Jefferson, why not just sign Al Jefferson.

I can't help but think Andy will be the key linchpin in reteaching the Mike Brown defensive principles. I also think Brown will know how to use Varejao correctly while Scott just ran him into the ground.

I'll pass on Lee for Andy. Doesn't mean I don't respect the heck out of the Warriors.

I know RCF has debated the worth of Klay Thompson ad nauseum. I've long maintained that Golden State will be signing him to a contract over 10 million a season, plenty of members thought he wasn't worth that much.

ESPN reports he is signing a max 4 year extension in the next few days, 70 million total.

LOL

edit: altho i do want to add i am a bit disappointed by this because it eliminates the possibility of seeing the most overpaid starting wing duo ever had sacramento pulled off a trade for him.
