Brendan Haywood's Trade Exception

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This Splitter/Mills talk is slowly becoming a likely possibility. Aldridge has expressed his desire to play there.

Is Denver still planning on blowing up their roster? Wilson Chandler would be a great addition to this team as well.

We can now officially cross off Wade as one of the Haywood targets. Was a real long shot, but now official.

He was never going to get traded here, Riley would never do that... If he was to come here, it would be as a FA with a much cheaper contract, which is why I doubt he comes here.

we are not able to offere a sign and trade with wade and the haywood contract since we are over the cap correct?

What if Love and Lebron take paycuts?

They'd have to basically play for free to make the available capspace to sign him (if I'm correct).

I think the Heat should have to return the favor and send him here.

This is a list of players who I think may be obtainable via the Haywood contract. Remember that in some cases, we could get two of these players, as we can take back up the 13.5 in salary and we can get involved in a 3 way trade as well. Some of these guys are more likely than others, and a lot of this depends on moves that the team they are currently on wish to make or do make in FA. Most of these guys are from teams in the Western Conference or Eastern Conference teams that are not expected to compete for a top 4 seed in the East.

Tiago Splitter
Patty Mills
OJ Mayo
Jerryd Bayless
ZaZa Pauchulia
Wilson Chandler
Randy Foye
Channing Frye
Avery Bradley
Evan Turner
Marvin Williams
Chase Budinger
Jason Thompson
Carl Landry
Darren Collison

These are 8th-10th in the rotation guys on championship level teams for the most part. But I think if we look to add players/depth this year(rather than create a TPE by trading Haywood to a team with excess cap space), it's the type of players we'll have access. And if mostly healthy, these type of guys would all be good in that 8-10th guy role.

Sorry based on the info from the Kings owner that is not happening either. They arenot doing a salay dump for Gay so kill that too.

I'm interested to see where that situation goes.. One one end, you have DMC a bit unhappy (allegedly) and a couple of contracts that can go (Gay, Collison & Jason Thompson come to mind). On the other hand, you have Karl. Now, Karl is going to want to shake up the roster at least a little bit; I think he'd go crazy if his voice gets diluted to nothing. They have moves to make.. I am genuinely interested to see where this ends up.

Maybe the owners should agree to take less profit and then we could have more to spend on FA's.

Its just so funny when the fans/media suggest the players should take more than a team would offer them but NEVER think to ask the owners to take less of a profit or cut.

And before you say Tim Duncan, he has made the 3rd most money of any basketball player in history and did not take his first pay reduction until he was 34 years old and coming off 5-6 straight years of not being in the finals.

The list is getting short...

We may end up with a TPE instead of a player.
