Browns Adding to Game Day Experience

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good thing they are revamping the entrance policy. Last year, if you weren't walking up to the stadium by 12:30, you weren't going to be in your seat for kickoff.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing all the changes. I have 1/2 season tix (have had them for the past 3/4 years or so) and picked up an extra game this year. I'm going to Cincy, Buffalo, Baltimore, Jacksonville, and Detroit. Kinda bummed that this will be the 1st year I don't have the Pitt game.

Nonetheless, am very interested in seeing all the changes made to the stadium & the game day experience.

Hopefully they got rid of that stupid "no standing" rule.

So any word on the weiner dog races?

Didnt notice a big difference in the lines during the game last week. If anything, it might have been a little bit worse with forcing women to not have purses and to put everything into clear plastic bags. We still missed kickoff, even though we were parked and walking towards the stadium in plenty of time. Maybe the new policies werent in place yet??

The weiner dog races were a hit. Almost as popular as the guy running with his weiner out.

They've had them at halftime in both preseason games so far. Supposedly the races start from the 50 and finish in the end zone.

Not going to lie....it was wildly entertaining and I don't know why. But I was laughing my ass off at the Lions pre-season game watching these damn dogs.

Was laughing at the Lions.

I'm not privy to any special information, but I do know that the Browns stadium improvements are going in front of the City Planning Commission this Friday, November 15th.

I know that the main project rep is someone from Turner Constriction and I'm unsure of whether or not there will be Browns representatives there (I suspect Fred Nance will be in attendance).

The topic of the piece is "First Energy Stadium Modernization: Request for Conceptual Approval"

Be expecting to see renderings of what the stadium would look like as early as this Friday. Monday at the latest.

Anything that gets ran past the City planning commission is huge, usually involving millions of dollars (obvious).

I really do wonder if it's the roof?

I'd imagine it'll be a seats addition and new video boards.

I know they also mentioned a sound system being massively upgraded as well, so I'd imagine that would be included.

1100 says seating subtraction:

(Cleveland) The Cleveland Browns will be moving forward with planned renovations at FirstEnergy Stadium. That's according to Mayor Frank Jackson's Chief of Staff Ken Silliman who says they expect to receive those plans from the team next week.

The construction would include new scoreboards which would eliminate seating in the upper endzones including the Dawg Pound section. The city still has to give the team approval before work can begin.

No comment at this time from the Browns.

I can't see them getting rid of all of the upper seating as that would lower the capacity to probably around 50,000. Maybe half of it and then adding seating in the corners?

Pretty sure they already said a roof wasn't feasible for the stadium.

Perhaps.

Although eliminating seating would mean massive price boost in ticket prices.

All I know is that having gone to Lambeau Field a couple weeks ago, I have further contempt at how badly Cleveland Browns Stadium sucks in almost all ways.

What a nondescript piece of crap that place is.
