Browns Forum?

My get from all this is if you create a whoe new separate board to cater to the users here, than you're just taking away your own assets. You have to ask yourself is this an addition by subtraction move, or subtraction by addition?

I personally think it's fine the way it is. I like that I can get both a balanced amount of forums for both the Browns and Cavs on one site. Separating the two into two seperate sites, just creates an unilateral move of distance for members who may enjoy the way we are now.

I've gotten enough feedback I think. I'm going to go all in on this project. I'm going to be contacting a few of the current mods to see if they want promotions. Amazing Tickets will sponsor all the hosting for a year so we don't have to worry about that. I'll purchase the 2nd license and mods we're going to need and we'll have this up and running a week after RCF moves to xenforo. Just in time for preseason games.

I'll start the donation drive tomorrow morning. Thanks for the feedback guys!

Yup. I never navigate through the individual forums anyway. I just click the megalink up top to see what's new since I last visited.

So basically this changes very little for me as a current user, but what it should do is open up the Real____Fans community to a wider net of (hopefully) quality members.

PS, this is probably gonna make S34 even more important :chuckles:

Ok, if this is going to be a Browns forum I feel obligated to do this.

I'll donate a few shirts and some stickers to give out as an incentive to anyone who donates during the drive.

I'm not as enthusiastic about the Browns as most of our other posters here, but nonetheless this is still fantastic news. I'm more than happy to help donate when I can, even if it won't be a whole lot. It's been awesome visiting this site for much of the last decade and it's even better to see it continue to grow and branch out.

I think this is a potentially great move. In theory, it will generate more membership than RCF.

The OBR has become an unreadable mess the past few years. It was good back when the team left, but for whatever reason, it is full of annoying blowhard posters who only rip on others and are internet tough guys.

Sounds cool but why is an entire new site necessary? For branding and traffic? What is wrong with the Browns Talk on RCF? Please explain the pros and cons.
