Browns Free Agency 2015

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
As anything goes, for the right money, why not.

But someone will offer him more than what we want to give up, so no point in thinking about it, really.

While the Browns are it with all the OSU players they want to bring in. Why not look at Craig Krenzel and see what he's up to!?

Plus, he's pretty slow and declining. No need for him here.
Are you KIDDING me? If the Browns have any kind of modern day tradition it's having an old, over the hill vet linebacker (Fujita, McGinest, Holmes) and while Dansby is old he was still productive last year. He can't be 100% counted on to join this club although it's likely. Signing AJ Hawk would be a fantastic hedge on that bet. Plus omgsignSmithtobebackupqbtooitllbeareunion. That too.

Green Bay had to move Clay Matthews to middle linebacker at the end of the year because Hawk had become such a liability.

The difference here is that Ginn fills a need and a team leader wants him to fill it. Hawk provides none of those things.

Well this is interesting:

It doesn’t seem like the Pittsburgh Steelers will use the franchise tag on Jason Worilds this time.
The Steelers used the tag on their top pass-rusher in 2014, which drew Worilds a $9.754 payday. That already bloated number will most likely increase even more this season if the team were to choose to tag Worilds. However, with the Steelers completely strapped against the cap, there is no way they would be able to afford that salary.

Worilds is only 26 and had 7.5 sacks with an interception in the Steelers 3-4 defense last year. If the Browns make a play fro him, they would upgrade from Sheard while weakening the Steelers.

I have the feeling that Worilds will end up in Tennessee.

Brian Hartline cut by the Dolphins.

Adding to the OSU reunion hysteria.

Seriously though, Hartline would be a great fit here.

Hartline is quite the gritty, blue-collar, high IQ player on the field who brings a lot of toughness and character to a locker room. Did I hit on all of the white NFL WR cliches?

Is he scrappy and reliable enough, though?

With the risk of sounding like an OSU honk, which I'm not, I like Hartline on the Browns. He seems to be a younger version of Miles Austin.

Great hair?

But he doesn't, so it's not a fit. He belongs on Oakland with that shaved haircut.

Harry Douglas was released by the Falcons today as well.

I've always like his game but he is a bad fit for the Browns as currently constructed. He is another fast undersized guy who doesn't fight for 50/50 balls or block. It's Benjamin/Gabriel all over again.

Agreed, but that said, it would be dreamy to have a guy on the team named Harry.
