Browns Interrrrim coach Gregggg Williams

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've always heard Wade ran an 1-gap 3-4 as well. If he wants to call it a "4-3 under with a DE standing up", who gives a shit. It really wasn't the point. The point is picking a defensive philosophy.

I think this guy is actually a bigger DB than Grossi.

The bigger point that Grossi continues to miss is the lack of difference between 3-4 and 4-3 in today's NFL. Not to mention how often teams play in Nickel defensive sets. Grossi acts like there's a polarizing difference and, just as Wade Phillips said, that isn't the case.

Marvez broke the Williams/Phillips story yesterday. Sounds like this was supposed to be a DM about Gregg Williams' staff.

That DLine coach from this seasons Hard Knocks on the Rams?

That guy seemed like a total Ahole.

Because of the Teddy Bridgewater injury? Wow, imagine if the franchise actually won games...

Something something, 09 NFC title game as well...

Plus my family is originally from western NY, and a lot of them are Bills fans.

La Canfora:

The Cleveland Browns are apparently making wholesale changes to their defensive staff and they've begun by acquiring Gregg Williams to be their next defensive coordinator.

According to team sources it's a done deal.

Williams will also be bringing at least three to four assistants with him as the Browns attempt to fix what was one of the NFL's worst defenses in 2016. Coach Hue Jackson was close to former defensive coordinator Ray Horton but was on board with the change.

Horton was in his second stint with the Browns and was very unpopular with the personnel side of the business. Owner Jimmy Haslam signed off on Horton coming back to the franchise.

Williams has traditionally run top-10 defenses and will bring an aggressive approach to Cleveland.

So, how does some of our talent translate to a 4-3 defense? Specifically... Shelton, Nassib, Kirksey, and Collins (if he stays). I'm thinking this benefits Ogbah greatly as a natural 4-3 DE. Not to mention Myles Garrett *fingers crossed*

I think it means we'll prefer to take a DB at 12 depending on who's there.

I hope so. I want Malik Hooker.

Right now, there's a very real possibility that Jamal Adams AND Malik Hooker are gone by #12.. If that's the case, the Browns will certainly still have their choice at some real difference makers at #12. I am still hoping for one of the two safeties..
