Not a sexy hire but could be what the Browns need. Or did they rush to him because they felt they were running out of options??

Whatever the case may be, for Christ's sake let him coach for 3 full years before firing him. Give the man a chance.

I honestly have no clue what this means good or bad. All I know is that they've screwed it up enough in the past that I just will let whatever will be happen.

    Talk about that being quick:

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23Browns">#Browns</a> confirming Rob Chudzinski is new coach. Introduction coming Friday morning. Wow.</p>&mdash; Tony Grossi (@TonyGrossi) <a href="https://twitter.com/TonyGrossi/status/289571937359888384" data-datetime="2013-01-11T03:18:24+00:00">January 11, 2013</a></blockquote>

I'm going to let this digest a bit..

I was iffy before on Chud being the HC of a team...

I will say it'll be cool seeing an Ohio guy and Browns fan get his chance here...

Maybe the Browns are just waiting 2 years until Weeden gets to retirement age to take over the reigns.

Chud must have hit a grand slam in that interview.

If Chud can turn Derek Anderson into a Pro-Bowler, Weeden should be taking us to the Super Bowl.

If Chud would be able to get Norv Turner to join him as the OC, that would make this hire much better..

Having a veteran coach who's been through it is critical for a HC's success here... Having good coordinators in place is key..

And having an offensive mind like that working with this offense really excites me...

This also means Chud will be able to focus on being the HC and Norv can call plays...

Let's see who the DC will be now..

Chud the Pud is what we used to call him back in the day when he was OC. I'm not sure I'm super excited about this... but it's a hell of a lot better than Wisenhunt.

Not sure about Norv. Jerry Jones wants him badly to call plays so we will see how that pans out.
