Browns hire Rob Chudzinski

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't agree at all. Yes DA was effective in 07. But in the next 3 years he was just as bad as anyone else mentioned in here. Go check the stats. Its funny Brady Quinn was mentioned because their play was so equally bad, it was nearly impossible to differentiate between them.

Derek Anderson can actually throw the ball past the line of scrimmage...

Everyone remembers the BQ deep ball that went 8yds out of bounds.

Right to the other team. In 8 games played in 2009, DA had a 44.5 completion %, 3 tds to 10 ints, 4.9 y/a, a 44.5 qb rating, and oh yeah 5 fumbles. Good luck finding worse qb play than that. So you can suck my balls.

Jamarcus Russell's entire career?

I'd like to see you try and name 10 worse. His year in 09 was beyond brutal. I don't think I have seen a Browns qb play worse.

:chuckles:

Hell, I could start with his own team....John Skelton for starters. I won't even use the other guys.
Tim Tebow
Jamarcus Russell
Ryan Leaf
Mike Phipps
Spergeon Wynn
Steve Spurrier
Tom Tupa
Eric Hipple
David Archer
Donald Hollas
Mike Tomczack
Paul McDonald
Akili Smith
David Klingler
Kyle Boller

Oops...I started rolling and lost count. I tried to give modern examples and some older ones. I also tried to give many examples from our own Browns and teams in the AFC North.

Hope this helps....but there's still many, many more.

On second thought, I DO NOT know why I thanked you for this post. I hate you for bringing up the memories of these putrid QBs. So I officially revoke one "thanks" I gave you. Everytime you check your "Thanks" total, please subtract "1" from your total. Did I say I hate you yet?

How about I just give you one and we'll call it even. :chuckles:

He was so bad they made him a punter!

I would like to move on from this topic as well, but you can't just do that. Yes, he was horrible and no, I don't really want DA in a backup role. 2007 was pretty much the only decent season by a QB for the Browns since 1999.

It's like saying that Bin Laden wasn't that bad of a guy if you take out September 11th...

I'm surprised no one has said Sanchez yet?

He beat no teams with a winning record and was like a third alternate to the Pro Bowl.

Let's not go crazy.

He took advantage of a situation where they had an easy schedule and the league hadn't adjusted to his strong arm. Once teams started taking away the deep ball and bringing more pressure, he was never able to adjust and now his confidence is gone as well.

He's just not very good.

I agree he's not very good, but he clearly proved that, in the right situation, he could win football games. So far he's the only QB we've had since we came back who did so. We had a pretty easy schedule this year and it didn't help us much.

In all seriousness, kidding aside, those of you that are supporting him are doing so to validate his potential as a backup right? Or at least I hope so.
