Updated OP with the waiver claims, the releases, the practice squad, and some draft pick info.

The conversation on Page 1 is hilarious and I remember having similar thoughts (re: Greco playing center) 3 years ago. Holy hell, a lot has happened in a few years. This roster could name the score against that roster. A look back at the Page 1 version of the Browns...

only 5 players on the roster 3 years later. Dorsey has done a good job of getting the dreck out of town.

And one of those 5 is the long snapper :chuckle:

The other four are Rashard Higgins, Joel Bitonio, Christian Kirksey and Joe Schobert.

There's a real chance that the only one left next year is Bitonio.

I wont pretend to know about long snappers, and Schobert is due a large pay increase, but I think we cut Kirksey and some others if Schobert continues to perform like he did in preseason in the new defense.

But you could be right. Kirksey is an easy cut with the young LB's and diminishing returns from him, and Higgins will price himself out of the 3rd/4th wr position.

Kirksey and Hubbard will not be back on their current contracts.

Who else we bring back will get very dicey. We’ll likely need 2 new OT, we’ll probably have to pay to keep Tretter.

That leaves Schobert, Randall and Hollywood to re-sign. Don’t see how we keep all 3 unless there’s a surprise cut somewhere.

Robinson isn't signed, I am guessing one of the tackles is back, but I could be wrong.

Hollywood is a 3rd WR, no way we pay him.

Randall I am guessing is replaced by one of the safeties we added, maybe Redwine if he shows capable.

Travis Carie is gone, he is making 8.1 with 1.8 of dead money.

I think of the 3, Randall would be the one most likely to be brought back.
I agree, and I hope we do keep him.

If Redwine develops well and is ready to start in a couple years, we could always flip Randall later to open up some cap.

Good call on Carrie. He'll definitely not be back at 8.1mil.

If Robinson has a solid year, he's going to be expensive. I'm guessing at least 12.5mil a year. That puts him in the upper echelon for LTs, but how often does a starting caliber LT hit the market? A team is going to overpay for him, a (IMO) price the Browns out.

What if Hollywood is on par with Jarvis this year? Are we really going to let him walk and continue to pay Jarvis top 10 wr money? Losing him make me uneasy.

One stipulation I'd add is that we may have some restructuring candidates this offseason, if they want to stay with the team and were already overpaid during that first surge of signings under Dorsey.

I know restructuring is a baffling and new situation for Browns fans, but it happens on good teams.
