The Cleveland Browns have signed 15 undrafted free agents. Additionally, the club waived LB D’Juan Hines and DE Lenny Jones (injury settlement).

The group of undrafted free agents is made of eight offensive players, six defensive players and a specialist. The positions include three offensive linemen and a pair of wide receivers, defensive linemen, defensive backs and linebackers. The team also signed a running back, quarterback, tight end and punter. Rookie minicamp will run from Friday to Sunday.

Brian Fineanganofo is one to watch. He's crazy athletic, huge, and dominated at Idaho State. He definitely fits the role of a James Campen guy.

Also, reportedly, the Browns gave Darrin Hall a 4 year, 2 million dollar contract and $100,000 guaranteed. He's one of the most talented guys there, he might be pushing for that spot behind Duke for the first 8 weeks.

Couple of young, strong athletes for Campen to get his hands on. Give them a year or two in the system and let's see if they can be polished up.

They are all dreaming of becoming the next Lenzie Pipkins. Good luck to all.

Do the Browns have the worst backup QB depth in the NFL?

Stanton is making #2 QB salary this year at $3.7 million. If they find an interesting rookie free agent for the third quarterback, great. Baker has achieved Andrew Luck status where there is no reason for competition, just make sure his backup is a good mentor like Hasselbeck used to be. If the starter gets hurt, it's a lost season anyway. Break out the BenGay for the old guy.

It doesn’t have to be a lost season. We’ve seen competent backups hold it down for a few games or even win a super bowl. We shouldn’t have to miss the playoffs if baker goes down for 3 games because station is out there looking like a scrub.

The backup quarterback money is being spent on Drew Stanton. The Browns believe he can play three games competently, being a player brought up under Freddie.
