Zimmer called Petrino a gutless bastard because he is a POS who fucked his whole staff over. I dont have a problem with Zimmer calling Banner that if Banner leaves the organization fucked over or something of the sort. REALLY doubt it is something you would see happen while both still employed by the Browns.

Zimmer has been known to be a straight shooter. Same with Banner. I can see personnel disagreements turning into heated battles especially if Lombardi comes along for the ride.

Also Zimmer could construe something like I want player X at our spot. Player X is there and the FO drafts player Y and overrules the coach.

Just because someone speaks their mind doesn't mean they're stupid. You can respectfully disagree with your boss and argue your case without name-calling.

That said, I do like his résumé and what he's been able to do on the non-football side of things. He had a decade to get things done in Philly. I don't think he'll feel that same comfort with Cleveland fans.. We'll see. I would love to hear what Lurie has to say about Joe.

Polk's pretty funny IMO. At least he gets Cleveland's self deprecation. His tourism videos are great.

Anyway, I like the idea of Zimmer, specifically b/c it seems that he can change the culture around with a hard-ass attitude, something the Browns have sorely lacked since the return.

They have to accept that when they hire him. If they get pissed afterwards then they are idiots for hiring him in the first place.

I don't really like Mike Polk's stuff usually but that video was one of his better pieces. Can you name one thing in there that isn't true? I guess he is over-the-top about it not being an attractive job, but the stuff about Weeden, coaches getting paid even though they only work a fraction of their contract, and being the consistent cellar dweller in our division are all true. And the Gruden thing was pretty hilarious.
