Building a Gaming PC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
i want a CPU cooler to make my rig silent, but
1. affraid of getting one thats too big and
2. dont wanna spend the money

Yeah, mine was obviously too big, but this is all jammed into a micro ATX tower. It's not a great brand, but it's an amazon best seller. Was only 30 bux. Don't need to bother with liquid cooling since I don't overclock. I like being able to add a 2nd fan to it, but that'll have to wait til I have a different mobo with 2 fan plugs. I basically bought this one because it had mounts for all the sockets included.

I personally have never been a big Gigabyte fan, but I know countless people that love them. I don't see anything wrong with it. Seems like a good price.
Yeah, it'll be $59.99 after the $40 cpu+mobo combo discount at Microcenter, that's the main reason I was looking at it.

Just went back in this thread, looks like @AuxiliaryPie has the same mobo.

That's a damn good deal then. I don't think I'd pass that up.

I've always used Asus for my mobo's but my current PC is a Gigabyte mobo and I haven't had any issues at all with mine.

I'm an Asus guy myself for mobos, but never hear anything bad about Gigabyte.

I've used Asus and Gigabyte in previous builds and they're both great brands. I'm in love with my current Asrock though.

It's $179.99+tax at Micro center and you get $40 off if you bundle it with a Motherboard, so I think I'm just gonna go there for it. Thanks though.

shit thats a screamin deal.

Man I wish we had Microcenter in San Antonio. The closest one to me is in Houston. Would I love to be able to cash in on that i7-4790k deal for $270 after tax. And then buy a Z97 board for $60 instead of $100 with the combo.
