Your name is quite unfortunate. Kind of reminds me of back in the 80's when they came out with AYDS diet pills months before they named that disease with a simular name associated with HIV.:chuckles:

C.J. Miles is officially a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers after he signed a two-year contract on Wednesday, reports The News-Herald. According to reports, the deal is worth $4 million and 2013-14 is a team option.

Miles will enter training camp as the favorite to be the starting shooting guard over rookie Dion Waiters, who was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2012 draft.

The last order of business for the Cavs is to sign Sonny Weems. The two sides are far apart in their negotiations and may just take the one-year, $2.7 million qualifying offer.

I'm guessing this guy meant Gee, not Weems right?

Weems signed to play in Russia:

Presumably he means Gee. ESPN still hasn't bothered to correct the error, which was originally posted at 2:57 this afternoon, and it's now 7:18. These NBA rumors on the ESPN site are extremely poorly written and just as poorly sourced (and mostly speculative). I mean, I'm not exactly expecting Grantland Rice in these little tidbits, but some of them are ludicrously bad.

Met Larry Nance today that was kinda big for me .. Not gonna lie

Little thing, but awesome.

From The Bullshit Whisperer:

CJ Miles will play both SG & SF for Cavs, Chris Grant said. Miles made it clear he considers Cavs a fresh start.

"A lot of people feel like I am who I'm gonna be (as an NBA player), which I don't think is true." said Miles, who spent his first seven years in Utah, "I just always did what was needed to do. I feel like there are a lot of things I bring if given the opportunity."

Miles added that he arrived in Utah with an offense that was built around the point guard (Deron Williams at the time) and power forward (Carlos Boozer). "And we all know who was the '1' (John Stockton) and the '4' (Karl Malone) before I got there," he said, laughing.

Imagine how I felt when I not only got to meet Larry for the first time, but got to play with him, and asked by him to talk to his son about making the best of his opportunities while in front of him. He's a quiet and reserved guy, but he's cool as shit. And even at 50+, he just unfolds like a chair when he stands and sits down. :chuckles:

He sounds VERY well spoken in this interview with Fred. I like his upbeat attitude and he genuinely seems excited. Let's hope he blossoms here unlike Casspi.

It sounds like Scott talked to him about playing a fast-paced transition game. Since Utah has been a walk-it-up, pick-and-roll style team, Miles must be excited to get out in the open floor a little more with the Cavs. I'm guessing it's also why he didn't see Mike Brown as a very exciting alternative.

Transition buckets all start with stops on defense. If Miles can be consistent defensively, he is going to get his opportunities to run offensively.

You aren't the first to try to pin Miles turning down LA on Mike Brown, but 99% of players in his position only care about one thing ...

"Will he have a chance to play starters minutes, take shots, and have a shot to earn a big paycheck?"

On the Cavs he can imagine himself earning a starting spot and perhaps being the #2 or #3 scorer on the team. The Lakers afford no such illusions.

Most dont get that. Miles has yet to get a huge pay day. Starter minutes get players like Drew Gooden over paid. Miles wants over paid, not that i blame him.

I've been in agreement on the probability of starting for several pages in this thread. I did want to give the Mike Brown crowd a shout out because he seems excited to play a faster pace.

What gets me is how more players don't think this way? I mean so many times i will see a player pick and team and i think to myself, what in the hell are you thinking my man? You will NEVER play on that team! I guess it is more of being seen than being seen on the court for some of these guys. I like the interview he had with Fred, he seems like a nice guy/kid. I hope he showcases his skills and becomes part of what we are building.

Ha, heard a funny story about Miles this weekend. Let's just say he's a cheap mother fucker.
