Call Of Duty 2015

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What games? Games from 5 years ago, right?

Are you buying Alienware's? I'm having a hard time figuring out where you're getting your prices from. My PC I just built for ~$700 runs everything I've thrown at it at 60 fps on Ultra, and I spent $100 extra to have a second monitor because I use it for work and school also and its nice to have the extra screen space. That wasn't an expense needed for gaming. I didn't have to spend anything near the prices you're throwing out.

My PC will be "bargain bin" in 5 to 10 years, but it certainly isn't now. There won't be a console on par with it until the PS6, and that may be being generous. I have an R9 290X, FX8350, 500gb SSD, 16gb ram (2400), a 750w power supply, and some extras I didn't need but wanted like a nice case and a Razer mouse and keyboard. I'm still using a wired 360 controller for games I'd rather play with a controller than a mouse. And on top of being far superior for gaming, its also running Kodi and serves as my HTPC. The PS4 and Xbox One can be used as media centers, but they are nowhere near as good at it.

I bought my PS4 for $400, and I've bought 12 games. Not all of them were $59.99 but if we even said half were, which is less than the real number, that's $760 I've spent on PS4 gaming. I bought a second controller and a charge station so its actually higher, but those were optional so I won't count them. I've paid exactly $0 on PC games so I've already outspent my PS4 budget and that's not including future games I haven't bought yet for PS4, while my PC game budget will never go above $0 because I'm fine with being immoral.

I do have a Wii U and a PS4 because they both offer something my PC doesn't, being a unique Nintendo experience and online play with my friends for the PS4, but if I only could have 1 its the PC hands down. Far better performance, far better value. Not even close.

This is a falsehood I wish people would stop spreading. This couldn't be further from the truth, and hasn't been true in a decade. The PC that was 5 years old that I just sold could have been put together today for less than the price of a PS4/X1 and run games nearly twice as well. Stop it.

Hell no, I build everything. But I have no idea where you get your pricing.

Even tossing together what I'm running now would be around $500, and it isn't running shit on max settings. Realistically my only ancient hardware is my Phenom 960T , whatever shit board came with it, and my older mid range video card.

Looking at a good i7 alone is $300 without a board. Pointless to buy anything less with the introduction of DX12.

Don't sit here and boast that midrange systems are pumping out games at max quality, because it's a flat out lie. What you're calling max and what actually is max are two far different things.

Oh boy, you use Kodi for your media server, I run Plex that streams to multiple screens, not just the one I have my PC hooked to. PS4 isn't even a media center without using the Plex app, and even that's limited.

I bought everything over the course of several weeks by being patient and waiting for the best price. I got the CPU/Mobo in a combo deal at Microcenter, and used Slickdeals for the best prices on everything else. I saved hundreds over the prices you'll find if you sat down and did a full build on one random day because I shopped wisely. Its not hard to do, you just can't be impatient.

I'm saying my PC is pumping out games at max quality. My PC is not mid range. My PC I just sold recently was mid range at its age, and it could play games at better quality than a console but it could definitely not play them at max quality. My current one is a step below top of the line, but that's why its $700 and not $1500. I always build PC's that way, because the value of buying the newest PC technology is poor. You're making an idiotic argument from a cost/performance perspective that if you build a PC you have to build top of the line. If you have the disposable income, great, go for it, but I'd rather spend that extra money elsewhere.

If you want to argue consoles are better, you can make that argument in several ways. Certain exclusives, and being able to play with your friends online who play on consoles are both legitimate arguments, and its also why I don't just game on PC. My PC is a far superior single player gaming experience for the games I like to play (partly because of performance, partly because I don't pay for single player PC games) and a far superior media center. Saying that its cheaper than gaming on PC though is just not one of them, unless you're also spending $60 per game - but who is on PC? My PS4, even though the console itself costs half as much as the PC, is going to cost me two to three times as much in the long run due to paying for PS Plus yearly and buying the games I want to play at $60 a pop.

Which is more fun and a better use of your money is completely subjective based on personal taste, technical knowledge, what your friends have, etc. I have a console for different reasons than I have a PC, because they broth bring something the other one doesn't.

However, which is better from a cost/performance standpoint is absolutely PC, and its not even close. That is what TyGuy and I are saying. PC gaming has a stigma attached to it from years ago that it costs a fortune in not only initial investment but also upgrade costs to keep up with new games. Neither have been true for years.

Gaming PC's take a bit more effort and intelligence to put together and operate, which is definitely a negative for the lazy dipshit crowd that makes up most of console game communities, but Steam Machines may help move some people over to the master race.

To build a PC right now that will be able to play the large AAA titles in a comparable setting to consoles is still going to run you about $700. Not everyone is waiting 4 months to put together a build because of patience. In 5 years, to get the same comparable settings that consoles will be running at will require an upgrade, no ifs ands or buts about it.

This will be the crux of the argument.

You might get better performance out of PC games, but at a higher cost to have a similar experience over the generational lifespan.

Arguing for piracy as a reason why gaming is cheaper is flawed. I buy very few titles at full price, most I eventually buy for $10 at one of the pawn shops.

Saying that PC gaming is cheaper in the long run because of having to pay for full price games/online multiplayer is a joke. I spend $100 a year just to play WoW. Yet, I get Xbox Live for less than $40 most of the time.

But for the love of God, stop trying to tout PC gaming as the master race based on cost. I don't buy junk parts, you might, that's on you.

If you're going to build a pc, at this point you might as well wait until 2016. Skylake CPU's HBM2 GPU's, DX12. It's like PC convergence. Should be the biggest leap in years.

So guys, I went super overboard on thus game.

It all started with the April reveal, I instantly bought the digital hardened or whatever edition, which was 115 dollars, the irony is not lost on me as a Zombies fan that that was the price...

Then the Juggernog edition goes up, and I literally had to have that mini fridge. 293 dollars later, and i've got my mini fridge. Super pumped, don't even care that I now have 2 games and 2 season passes.

Then today, well I broke again. Another 250 bucks out for a sweater, and 2500 entries into the be a zombie draw. Now listen, normally I wouldn't even bother to enter a draw for 250 dollars, but in this particular scenario if I won would fulfill a dream, so maybe it's worth it...

God help me if they release a BO3 limited edition bundle.

I heard rainbow 6 is gonna be the one to get and not COD black ops 2? Heard it's terrorists and counter-terrorists. If it's anything like counter strike I'll freak

Rainbow 6 will be nothing like Black Ops III and visa versa. Two completely different ways to play.

And I too pre-ordered the Juggernog edition from Amazon.

EGORGIAN WORSHIP TO BE ADDED TO BLACK OPS III

Counter-strike is still going strong man. CS Global Offensive is probably the biggest e-sport fps out there.

Saw an article where Activision will probably never bring a COD game to space, full setting. And I am happy about that. I don't own Advanced warfare and haven't even turned my 360 on in months. But maybe looking into getting a PS4 or xbox1 maybe around xmas time? Are they good deals on black friday? wait until 2016 for a price drop? Some of you guys more in the know, if you have any details, would be awesome. Will probably ask for one of those or an Apple Watch (depending on how good the update is for it and when an Apple Watch 2 comes out. Would liike GPS on it w/o a phone nearby)

I would love if they re-made COD2 and put it on a new console. Tunjane or whatever the hell map that was, was badass.

Call of Duty was such a great series before they started making them solely for the console crowd and forcing yearly releases. The first two Call of Duty games were probably the best WWII games I've ever played. Just so immersive. I'd love it if they remade them with modern graphics. Tough to see any of these companies focusing time on a campaign that's over four hours long at this point, though.

Yeah, I used to play a PC game when I was younger called DeltaForce 2 and it was so simple but amazing. That's what COD/2 was to me. It was easy, could still be stealth and it was actually fun.

In that game Delta Force 2, some maps were so big you could "run" for literally a minute before you saw someone. It made you play smarter instead of just run & gun. Now you can fuckin fly up in the map and see someone in 4 seconds.

When/If I get a new console, I may move away from the series unless they go back to basics but with badass graphics.

The last game I've enjoyed was Black Ops II.

Ghosts almost seems like a MW3 DLC and AW is Call of Duty: Halo. Don't get me wrong, I loved the standalone Halo games when I used to play them on my 360, but CoD needs to stay away from that garbage.

Hell, just remake CoD4 for next gen consoles and I'll be set for a few years.

I wish AW was CoD: Halo. Maybe then it would be playable. That game was hot garbage.
