Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Ive played about 10 matches, guns suck so far the create a class is pretty in depth, the maps are complete with a bunch of head glitches which is annoying at first. I think it takes much longer to kill someone than it does in MW3

Im just glad they finally removed death streaks

Death streaks are only in the bad COD games... MW2 and MW3. Black Ops and Black Ops 2 is keeping cod alive by making games good enough to play for 2 years when the MW games aren't good enough to play for the first month. Not wasting my cash on MW4 or any game made by that joke of an team again.

Maps are tiny? Nah. These maps are HUGE.

I feel like it takes me 5 shots to kill someone and only 2 to kill me.

It's good, but I already got a probation warning. I've been in 3 games where the game just ended (failed host migration) and I got a warning for "leaving games and not finishing them". I didn't leave them, I got kicked out. Lame.

Yep in the same way a 4' tall woman would view a 4" penis... These maps are not huge at all, expect for transit that is. I don't call two upstairs rooms, two downstairs rooms, and a tiny feild huge though. TBH the only reason transit is huge is because it is 5 maps in one. It would be dwarfed if you took the 5 original black ops maps, and connected them, and it would be dwarfed by the WAW maps connected as well.

Tranzit is a ton of fun on single player though... Multiplayer not so much because at this point nobody has any idea what to do.

These maps are pretty big IMO

I don't know man just look at the BO1 map. Five had three levels, and each level was at least half the size of farm. Kino was a big one too, COTD was huge, Shangri La was terrible, and Moon was massive.

I guess when they were hyping these map as bigger than anything we'd ever seen before I assumed they'd be much bigger than the ones we had previously gotten. It feels lke in these ones everyone is on top of eachother because there aren't any good spots to run. This seems like it's going to be a camp and shoot maps like Der Reise imo.

Maybe once I get more used to them my opinion will change. I think the maps are good, and i'm loving tranzit, although i'm not very good at it yet haha.

Edit: I'm actually really good at survival on Town. I've made it to 25 on three attempts... In Tranzit once I get to Town with the power on i'll be set.

Game is ass, feels just like MW3. Spawning is terrible again , guns bad, perks suck, die in 2 shots while it takes me forever, too many kill streaks, forget anything?

Would of been happy with just a new black ops 1 and some minor changes. Another year of playing the same COD ( black ops 1). All I want is a simple game with not over powered killstreaks and based on gun skills and not camping in every fucken head glitch and corner etc...

Yeah, about this game... glad I got the regular edition this year and sprung for the Limited Edition of Halo 4. I don't see myself playing this as much as I played previous COD games. Shame. I'm ready for the next generation, and some new IPs.

I like the game... There are TONS of head glitchers which gets annoying, but most of the maps I like. Haven't used many guns, MP7 is my shit. Still not sure if I like it better then MW3, but so far it's been enjoyable for me.

Good luck on the new IP's

AAA games cost just as much if not more than blockbuster movies anymore so most companies are shying away from creating/pushing new IP's. At that cost a company has to sell roughly 2-5 million copies of a game to make a slight profit or break even. The company will go with the one that already has a proven market share about 98% of the time.

The first Black Ops game cost 30$ million to make....

The fisrt Gears of War was probably the least expensive AAA title this gen coming in at 9$ mil..Which doubled for the 2nd and tripled for the 3rd..

Just look at this from EPIC

http://www.vg247.com/2012/11/13/epic-expects-next-gen-game-development-to-cost-at-least-double/

The three minute clip, which was codenamed Samaritan, had the company “greatly worried” about final costs. It took a team of 30 people four months to create; an output that isn’t sustainable in the long run.

“If we extrapolate that into creating an entire game, we were worried that the cost would go up by a factor of three or four or even five in the next generation. And of course, we felt that was not acceptable.”

Bad things in store for THQ

And this:

http://www.vg247.com/2012/11/08/for...s-new-ip-just-isnt-a-priority-for-ea-anymore/

EA’s stated strategy is fewer, bigger brands. Of the many new IPs developed for this generation, only Army of Two, Dead Space and Dragon Age continue to see new versions. As far as I can tell from publicly facing information, creating innovative, new IPs just isn’t a priority for the organization,” Levy wrote.

“Big brands + big marketing budget + high production values = $$$. This is the EA formula. They may have been late to the mobile & tablet freemium party, but now that they are here they will out-compete the Dragon Vales and Tiny Monsters of the world.

“This formula may have finally run its course in the core space, where 80+ rated Lord of the Rings, James Bond and Godfather games have all fallen out of favor with gamers’ wallets.”

Levy said The Simpsons: Tapped Out proves to EA that players who “enjoy the games produced by this formula” just moved to another platform. This provides EA with a digital future having “less to do with big, risky new IPs like Mirror’s Edge or Brutal Legend,” and more on huge returns such as the $29.6 million in sales earned by Tapped Out – a figured estimated by Levy and not “official”.

The biggest games on this generation of platforms have been carry overs

Halo 3, Reach, and 4

All the COD games

The Battlefield games

Resident Evil has made a decent living

GTA, Max Payne

Fallout 3 and Fallout NV

Elder Scrolls series

Metal Gear Solid

Red Dead Redememption (Red Dead Revolver was the sequel)

The IP's that are going to carry over from this gen are:

Dead Space

Gears of War

Uncharted

Assassians Creed

Mass Effect

Boderlands

Bioshock

Why do people hate on playing video games? Go outside, go get some sun, etc.. Stupid shit. It's a hobby nowadays. Also keeps you out of trouble.

I personally played the shit out of video games throughout higshschool iuntil senior year, when I went outside and started tearing the student body up. Maybe its my own experience that led to this, but I literally can't even play a video game without feeling like an absolute dickhead with no life. To each their own. And if you have a group playing with you, and especially girls, then no big deal. But generally I think we're a happier people if we're too busy with real life stuff for shit like this. I go out all the time and I don't drink. I also make a point to try to surround myself with good people. But again, to each their own, dont mean to crash on the parade
