Carmelo Anthony Trade Watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lotta fantasy trades in here as far as destinations go. Gotta remember Melo has a no trade clause. Doubt he approves a trade to New Orleans.

Houston and Lakers make the most sense as he would approve a move there. Houston offering Ariza, DMo, Jones and multiple picks is a good start. And no, that's not gutting the team. That's starting with a base of a big three and building from there. Just like the Cavs, Heat, Celts, etc.

No it's not. Melo is a superstar in every definition of the term. Stop...please.
lol. you're not very good at making a distinction between hype and reality. melo gets called a superstar based on name alone; his numbers absolutely do not justify it unless you think there's at least another legit dozen+ "bonafide superstars" in the league.

slap his exact numbers on another player and nobody calls him a superstar, but we're talking about carmelo anthony. clearly carmelo anthony is a superstar!

That Houston deal would be a dream scenario for Melo IMO. Ariza has fallen off people's radar, but he has completely filled the role of Parsons at a discount. Dmo is the best up and coming center in the league, again IMO. He might be better than Dwight for Houston right now. If they were gonna trade for Melo and I was in charge, I might consider a Dwight for Melo swap instead. I know that sounds crazy, but I have been watching the Rockets all year.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Lakers and Knicks agree not to trade with each other for this season?

Or, is that another team? If not, you can cross off the Lakers.

Knicks do need to get rid of Melo though. Nothing personal, I don't hate him, but he can't lead a team. Especially not to win a ring. He is best as a second or third option honestly. Knicks need to take the OKC route and hope they can get lucky in the draft a couple years in a row. They are destined for mediocrity otherwise.

I read the article and the quote barely makes sense. The writer says the Knicks aren't ready to engage in trade talks, but are getting closer to engaging in talks? So they are getting close to being ready to talk to a team about the possibility of trading Carmelo Anthony. Oh boy.

Not what I'm suggesting at all...

Just saying.. This is an example of why Tristan getting a max or anything close to it is a joke.

It would be so New York Knicks to do that trade though. I am half kidding of course. But they are a very bad franchise that does some dumb shit.
