Re: Casspi's Poodelish performance thus far

Another terrible game by Casspi. He made me wanna puke ... If he isnt open at the 3p line he is useless on offense and Im not sold on his defense either. Starting to really hate this guy

Re: Casspi's Poodelish performance thus far

I am not saying I want to Puke when Cassipi is on the floor. I think he is trying, but there is something wrong. Gee is already getting majority minutes and that is the right thing. It really is too bad Christian has let us down, because I think this was a terrific opportunity for him to break through. He just wasn't ready when opportunity knocked. If he could not take minutes from Cassipi, which starting 3 is he going to take minutes from? I had hopes for him at 2 as well, but he was not able to take minutes from AP either. Not a good sign. I personally don't see Cassipi in our future long term.

Re: Casspi's Poodelish performance thus far

Whoever said Luke Harangody is a better option than Omri... Pardon my language, but Harangody is fucking awful. Get that shit out of here.

.......If you build this team the right way, Casspi will shine... and I think the Cavs are on that track.

ok get your shit straight I said the way Casspi is playing NOW he is no better than Harrangoddy and NOT better than Geeand I stand by that

the other issue with Casspi's offensive ineptness it leaves our front court devoid of offensive options other than AV and Mr volume shooter in Jamison

luckily our first team has been holding its own against the quality of competition thus far

How did Eyenga let us down? Did I miss something?

I guess he just isnt good enough according to our coaching staff, which I find a bit weird considering that M.Thompson is on the bench but there is nothing that would indicate that Eyenga doesnt give 100% effort.

Well, except for his inability to improve at anything after a couple of seasons.

He doesn't understand organized basketball from what I heard. He was just used to going out there and playing 1 on 5.

Well keep in mind he was unable to work with the Cavs coaching staff at all this summer due to the lockout (many people agree that this hurt Eyenga's development more than anyone else's), plus he's only played basketball for a handful of years. It's no shocker that he's struggling and undeveloped.

What couple seasons? The first we saw of him was last year in summer league.

Casspi certainly has looked bad out there, so bad (physically) that I refuse to believe this is the Real Omri Casspi. There's enough testimony from people who watched him on the Spurs and evidence on Youtube that suggests this is the case. But yes, there are no other options. Gee is playing fine with the second unit, Harangody is a stiff, and Eyenga is apparently still making too many mistakes for Byron Scott's liking. Eyenga's a little short for the position anyway.

It's just shame, from a pure entertainment perspective, that Casspi has struggled so much. He seems like he'd be very fun to watch when he's right.

As much as I hate Omri's horrid play I am also starting to believe something physically is wrong with him and we are not being told exactly his health/physical condition. He looks worthless and useless. The guy had some real strong performances against top tier teams his first 2 seasons. He looks like someone who does not belong in the league right now. I think Casspi and Scott know something we don't. He was unable to get ahead of the field even once in a fastbreak situation since coming to Cleveland. He had only 3-4 buckets that are not 3s. He probably still has some pain in the knee or maybe his conditioning is not what it needs to be for his style of play.

Re: Casspi's Poodelish performance thus far

He's just soft. Physically and mentally. He hasn't outplayed Gee once this season yet.

Disagree with the last sentence. Gee was awful in Toronto.

Re: Casspi's Poodelish performance thus far

Casspi just doesn't seem in great condition right now. He looks heavier than he did in Sacramento. Don't know if he wasn't able to work out much in the offseason due to the knee injury or what.

He is just a solid role player at best but he's not even close to that level now. This past offseason screwed up some players and I hope that combined with the injury is what's causing Casspi's poor start.

Re: Casspi's Poodelish performance thus far

But why is Casspi still in a bad condition? His injury was weeks ago...If he is still suffering from it why doesnt he rest for 1-2 weeks and why does he continue playing basketball when he is hurt? Its not like we are in the middle of a PO run

Re: Casspi's Poodelish performance thus far

Casspi was pretty poor in Sacremento last year too. I'm just not sure the guy can be much better than he is right now.

Re: Casspi's Poodelish performance thus far

He need to do everything AV does. Set better screens, and move without the ball. Has anyone seen him roll to the basket? Why not? He should be able to shoot over guys better too, but his release is too low.
