Casspi is the pit bull Byron Scott wants on the Cavaliers

ahh the inspiration for gremlins has been found

I was pretty impressed with Casspi's performance yesterday. He should be an upgrade over last season's SF's, though that isn't saying too much. I didn't realize he was so big- having AV and Casspi should help offset Jamison's poor rebounding and defense more than we were able to last season. It would be interesting to see a small lineup with him at PF and Samardo or Tristan at C. Obviously it wouldn't be a consistent option, but it might be something that could work in certain situations.

Right now he provides the flexibility of a young Donyell Marshall who can use his athleticism and perimeter skills to bounce between a big 3 and a perimeter oriented 4. When Casspi gets older, he will ease into a "stretch four" type of role. Last night he looked like the guy we all thought Pavlovic might someday become. Hopefully this is a game that Casspi can reproduce consistently. He has been known to have a few stinkers here or there.

Omri can only play the 4 for a few minutes or in very specific match ups. He doesn't have the strength and technique to keep most PF's from beating him in the post.

Consistency from a shooting perspective was not his strongest suit in his first two years. I'm hoping experience and better rotations will help him in that regard. But he is streaky.
On the other hand, he doesn't take many games off from an energy/hustle perspective.

hey a fellow Arizonan. Greetings from Phoenix.

Hello back from the buthole of planet earth-- Yuma Arizona.

Jigo--The pink leash was the old ladies idea not mine and she dresses up the dogs as well ( uuggghh).

On topic now---CAVS got the better end of this trade hands down if Omri can keep some consistancy. Maybe JJ realizes he is not a star now.
