Jack wouldn't be the worst pick up...

Would like to flip him to a third team though, if at all possible. His shooting is not where it needs to be to be an important rotation guy for us.

A 30 year old center with no NBA experience - I think we'd be lucky to nab an unprotected second rounder that we could flip as a filler in another trade.

I wouldn't trust someone that then tweets:

"I'm not sure this is how it works. Cavs still hold Kaun's NBA rights, right?"
I can only imagine the craziness on realnetsfans.com in thier Kuan Safari

I strictly meant passing along news/info, not analyzing a situation.

Anyone think we should bring this guy over and keep him for ourselves? I am concerned we won't have the cash to give Mozgov they money he wants and even if we do re-sign Mozgov aren't we probably looking at needing to replace Andy? Andy is 32 coming off an achilles injury.

Kaun could be an affordable solution for us.

I don't think Kaun is really going to be very effective in the NBA. He hasn't exactly destroyed Europe and he's 30.

It'd be cool for him to at least fill in the Big Dude insurance role that Perkins filled last season. If Mozgov goes down and we need another big guy capable of guarding true C's, Kaun could potentially do that. I don't know if we can actually sign him though.

I wonder if the front office kept that 1.1 mill in the MLE to sign kaun. I thought it was weird they didn't give Mo the full amount especially because the left over would be less than what most vets would get on vets minimum.

Based on the big men that are left (which is scraps) that may be a decent optioon. Kaun actually went toe to toe with Mozgov and got the better of him at times. He gives us insurance as a backup 5 if and when Andy has his major injury.

Joe Johnson, Hollis-Jefferson, Jarret Jack for Kaun and Haywood.

Nets should really take this deal they would be unstoppable with Kaun and Haywood starting at C & PF
